Annette Peters recently lost her mother and is now trying to figure out how she will support herself. For the last five years she has been her mother's fulltime caregiver and had put her life on hold. She is now 28, has no schooling, or livelihood skills; however, her mother did leave her the cabin she's living in, and she decides to turn it into a B&B. She isn't a trained cook or chef but believes she can turn out a pretty good breakfast...and if she can rent some of her extra rooms, she will be able to support herself.

Todd Murphy is out on a hunting trip with his friends, and they get separated. He twists his ankle while searching for them and manages to limp to a cabin that he sees in the distance. When Annette answers the door, she expects to see a B&B customer, and instead finds Todd who is badly in need of her help. Christmas is just around the corner and after the kindness he receives from Annette, he is determined to bring some Christmas joy into her life!
