Enjoyable

I enjoyed the story. It helped pass the time. The narrator is not as good as some of the other ones that have done Jody Hedlund s books but she did a tolerable job. I would consider it worth the time and money.

Great book for a road trip

Well written, with twist turns and plots. We listen to this book on our road trips, we definitely liked the ending

Just listened for the 4th time!!

Strong female without being overly disrespectful to the male love interest. (Which I appreciate) She has talents but still obviously the men are stronger than her which is realistic which I appreciate as well. The "woman power" theme doesn't go overboard. Fun, sweet, humorous and flirty. One of my favorites! Just listened for the fourth time in the past 2 years!

Good story. AWFUL narration

The story was good. The characters could have been developed a little better. I almost couldn’t make it through due to the narration. It sounded almost like forced wistfulness and very monotone and dull toned-Nothing expressive. Very hard to discern which character was talking many times.

Enjoyable Read

This was an enjoyable read. I loved all the excitement and intrigue and of course the love story. True to form Jody Hudlund has done it again. A hard to put down drawing romance.

Okay

If clean romance and clean language with a Christian message are important to you will like this. However it has little dialogue and what dialogue it does isn't rapid fire. It will go into internal musings in the middle of dialogues. I also has very long internal musings that can go on for ten minutes or longer. It's repetitive something that is thought about in a internal dialogue will be then said to another character ever though we already know. Issues are brought up many times even if we already know it's a core issue. It also has a lot of filler, banquets are described in details down to jelly and locks are opened by put the key in the lock and twisting. I don't have a problem with the cleanness but the quality of the writing.
