May Cobb is on fire!

A LIKEABLE WOMAN draws you in and doesn’t let go! The character development is rich, and the scene settings are authentic. Remember going back to your childhood hometown for a reunion or some big gathering? This will put you there and nail you down. Amanda Stribling is spot on with all of the different characters and does a wonderful job.

Performance was great, story was just long

Amanda Stribling did a fantastic job with so many characters. I’ll always listen to her.

Loved it. The East Texas setting plus the interesting, suspenseful storyline = perfection. Looking forward to the next book by May Cobb.

Very Slow Going & Predictable

I had a difficult time getting into this book at first. The writing is very slow going. Once things start rolling along I finally found new ground for listening even though it was predictable. May it would have been better read the physical book?

i had a hard time getting into the book in the beginning but when it was a couple chapters towards the end it did a whole 180 and i ended up really liking it

Review is for the story only. Narration was good so can’t complain there.

But story wise, this book was mid at best. Definitely the weakest of May Cobb’s books so far. The beginning was sloooow (and I mean painfully slow.) It took a few hours to get going, and even when it finally picked up, it still felt kind of meh overall.

Honestly, if A Likeable Woman was my first May Cobb book, I probably wouldn’t have picked up another. Luckily, The Hollywood Assistant was amaaaazing and reminded me why I like her writing in the first place. Start there instead.

Not well-written

This is fine to listen to if you are doing something else. It’s sort of predicable and cheesy and words are repeated over and over.

That being said, it was fairly entertaining for a while, while ironing it doing dishes.

Very enjoyable

Great narration, easy to follow and a suspenseful plot that flowed nicely. I really enjoyed this book.

Loved the book and the narrator was great too. Love audiobooks! And Audible too! Awesome!

Another exciting read from May Cobb

Great narration + it kept my attention the whole way through. I never saw it coming!
