Another terrific book by Terry Brooks skillfully read by George k Wilson I was on the edge of my seat throughout.

A great audiobook and a welcome addition to my library.

A Knight of the Word is an important puzzle piece of the Word and Void series. It answers almost as many questions as it raises. Already looking forward to the next book and how it relates to the Shannara series. The narrator does a great job of infusing emotion into the characters and carries the listener into the story and it’s settings. Drawing the listener deep down the rabbit hole of the author’s imagination.

okay, a little simple and predictable

It was an okay story. I don't think it was as good as the first story and it didn't leave me scrambling to get the 3rd book.

Character depth

Brooks at His Best: Gritty, Haunting, and Full of Heart
This is the standout of the Word and the Void trilogy. Set in a vividly rendered Seattle, Knight of the Word follows John Ross, a relatable, reluctant hero torn between his calling and his longing for a normal life. His struggle feels deeply human, wanting love, peace, and connection, even as circumstances pulls him back into a fight he didn’t fully choose. The emotional weight is real, the stakes feel personal, and Brooks explores good and evil in a way that feels grounded. The narration is engaging and brings each character to life with clear, distinct voices.
