When I lost my brother suddenly in September 2018, I felt as though my world had ended. Grief brings so many raw emotions, and trying to move on from a loss like that is truly a powerful and difficult journey.
In this collection, I bring you along on that journey with me, opening my soul and sharing all the deep emotions that I felt at each step of the way. These poems are honest, and express how I experienced the stages of grief, and I hope through my words you can find something to connect to.
By narrating this audiobook myself, I allow you to experience the poems the way I envisioned them, and each word I speak has deep emotional meaning to me, which you will be able to hear through my voice. This audiobook is a special and very personal experience, and I hope that by sharing it with you it will help you understand how I truly feel.
This book is dedicated not just to my brother, but to everyone out there who has lost somebody that they loved. Everyone in this world is linked through our shared humanity, and our ability to feel empathy for others is what makes humans truly special. These words are not just my words, they are the feelings of every damaged soul, and I feel honoured to be able to articulate those emotions in a way that can be accessible to anyone.
