another great book

James maxwell has done it again. Not only that but I do belive Simon Vance has the voice that could make me like any book. Nonetheless I truly enjoyed this book and I would like to recommend everyone who enjoys this series to check out the everman saga by james maxwell.

Great Story

Liked it very much. Reminded me of Michael Wisehart stories. Narrator good but not as good as Tim Gerard Reynolds.

Good book to listen to

I listened to this book and was sucked in from the start..its not my typical book to read. I found listening to it had my attention Good story line and very imaginative. .

Decent fantasy heroic tale

I liked the protagonists quite a lot, but the antagonists seemed a little flat. The setting was interesting enough to make me want to continue to the next book and follow further adventures and exploration into the world.

Enjoyed

This is my second audio book. I have enjoyed this one better. The story line is great and I liked the way Simon added character to each character and emphasizes the different phases of the story. Good story. I recommend it

Another great story from James Maxwell

I love listening to Simon Vance and I'll read anything by James Maxwell, so this is a win/win all the way around

Little dragging but good.

I did enjoy this book. The story was right down my alley because I love sci-fi adventures. This world is full of mysterious creatures and beings and a truth that is hidden behind a firewall. honestly, the book was really enjoyable but it did drag at some points and was kind of boring at more points. It wasn't as action-packed as I would have liked. nevertheless, there were good characters and the narrator was a good listen. I would recommend it to any sci-fi reader and I can't wait for the next.

Much Enhanced by Audio Narration

I thoroughly enjoyed this story, but the audio narration made it even better. The narrator used different speaking styles for each of the sentient species which made it easy to follow who was speaking. With all the character voices and accents, and the scene descriptions incorporated into the story, I felt like I was there, a little frightening given the global warming we are experiencing. It was hard to put this book down and I found myself thinking about the story throughout my day. I was unable to predict the unexpected twists and turns of the plot. I highly recommend this very enjoyable read, which even has a good message about tolerance for groups different than you and the danger of stereotyping.
