Tick, tick, tock.
Time. That's all I have now. A small room, a photograph, and time. They want me to trust them and confess my sins. They told me they wouldn't judge me - they lied.
I thought we could convince the world that this wasn't a crime. We were wrong.
Time doesn't stand still. The clock keeps ticking, the world is unconvinced, and now… Now he is gone.

Where does Veiled Innocence rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This book has been a very big eye opener. I truly believe in love and I know it comes in all forms. As many people and myself have said timing is EVERYTHING in this case is really is.What was one of the most memorable moments of Veiled Innocence?
Realizing how many people really listen to Addison. What does Chelsea Hatfield and J.F. Harding bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The narrators were great in this book, they both nailed it.Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, if I could have listened to it all in one day I definitely would have. Ella made you feel like you just wanted more, and there really isn't a right spot to stop unless your family needs you! And only then. I can see where there could be another book launched from this book but we will just have to wait and see.Enlightening point of view

Free handsWas there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
She's sitting on the ground leaning on his trucks tire.... Near the end.Any additional comments?
The beginning was traditional and boring. Half way through the author found her muse or voice or whatever it is that made it well written.Unexpectedly good

After they started screwing that was all she wrote. When he recognized she was damaged he should have stopped what was going on to try to help her or get help for her.
Her story is sad about her brother and it was not her fault . Her parents were a terrible disappointment at the minimum and the father was a criminal for what he did to her. The track coach I wanted to slap cause it was more than teacher concern for her turning their careless stupidity in but she was pissed/jealous. Why would you call a child's parent about a situation against the child when you know there is abuse in the home? The child was sporting a bruise on her face.
Doc is the hero. He was the one who knew the whole situation give or take some details but he protected her and listened to her and looked out for them. She would not have survived in that home environment.
I didn't like all the going back and forward. The narrator did a good job.

“It wasn’t good, and it wasn’t evil—it was just love.”
P.S. The audiobook was fantastic. It’s perfectly narrated in dual style by Chelsea Hatfield and J.F. Harding.
