"Hot Box" is a baseball drill that can be played with three or more players and two to four bases. The players take turns being fielders and runners, ultimately trying to tag the rest of the players out. In The Hot Box, best friends Milena and Lydia are playing the game with Jacour, Yosef, Glenn, and Phil. The only problem: the men do not realize that they are playing.

Milena lives a sheltered and dismal existence and has not allowed a man to touch her body in eight years...until now. Lydia dreams of getting away from small-town America but, until she can make that happen, she is prepared to do whatever it takes to continue to have her bills paid...on time. Good sex always does the trick.

Two women. Four men. Two love triangles. Listening has never been this hot because, once again, Zane is taking you outside the box.

What did you love best about The Hot Box?

I love Zane! I really liked the story itself. I was able to follow the transformation of the main character and the complications made it very interesting. I also enjoyed the humor!

No other book comes to mind that I have read so far.

What does Simi Howe and Krystal King bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I liked the way they brought the characters to life.

Who was the most memorable character of The Hot Box and why?

Yoseph. I kept wondering why he was in his situation.

A must read (or listen)! I could not stop listening... I really enjoyed the book.

The book was good but readers voices are so important to really pull you into the book. These voices and animations were off.

I am a Zane fan so getting into her books are not difficult.

Have you listened to any of Simi Howe and Krystal King ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes I have. They both do an excellent job of narrating...

If you could take any character from The Hot Box out to dinner, who would it be and why?

I would take them all lol... They are each unique in their own right.

This book was interesting. It had some humor and sexual aspects but also touch on some serious points. I was able to see how things are viewed by those looking in and the reality of it all. Some time you have to hear it to see how we all could fit one or another character shoes.

I love the way. Zane keeps the reader guessing the whole time how things will turn out between both girls Lydia and Malena . The sexual overtures and the suspense was great. This book was definitely a page-turner.

Yosef, I always root for the underdog, he was the purest character in the book. I was team Milena until she cheated with Jacour.

I think they did a great job bringing the characters to life, especially Lydia's character.

Interested, intrigued, shocked, then that Awww moment at the end.

This needs to be a freaking movie.

If you just want a quick read/listen, it's okay.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

The dry spots were just dry. A lot of the 'drama' in this story was more annoying than exciting.
