On the surface, Mildred Abbott is a proper Regency miss. But secretly compromised, she longs to explore the pleasures of the flesh. Engaged to an uninspiring sycophant, she asks the influential nephew of her patroness in debauchery to interfere and break her engagement. When her appeals to him fail, she decides to take a singular opportunity--a visit to the Chateau Debauchery--to experience one night of pleasure before she submits herself to a life of wedded dullness.

The Marquess of Alastair concerns himself with no one, but to appease his aunt on her birthday, he agrees to select one person whose interests he will look after. It was not his intention to choose the plain and simple Miss Abbott, but when she unexpectedly shows up at the Chateau Debauchery, his hand is forced. Knowing his aunt to be partial to the miss, he grudgingly decides to act the part of a gentleman and preserve Miss Abbott's honor by removing her from the Chateau. But Mildred refuses to go until she has had her night of debauchery.

This was a great regency listen. It had you listening to a different side of a regency story that most authors won’t write about.
The story has how women’s mind will do something when it involves aching of the flesh. What they have to do before they get married to a dull unexpired man . This story involves Mildred and the Marquee Alistar . Mildred is no simpering Miss ? She needs a night of fun. and listen to this one. It’s a great story that gets your mind going

This story had me alternating between amused and hot. It promised, and it delivered!

Mildred was a delight, she was a lovely mix of innocence and passion and the combination made the story hot.

Well written it has a great flow to it. The characters and setting are both well developed and I'm interested in reading other books by Georgette Brown.

The narration was average, it neither added to nor detracted from the story. There were several editing errors where mistakes were not edited out and this interrupted the flow of the story a few times.

I got this story via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. This was a book about a young woman who wanted to experience sexual adventures before settling into a marriage with a boring man. The story starts there and ends there. We get to experience all of the things she did. It ends on what could be a cliffhanger of sorts. The narration had so many repeated sentences that I was sure the editing needed to catch. If you want a lot of sex and little plot then this is the book for you.
