These stories are always amazing. Your mind can only do so much with trying to make the voices. Having the audio to go with it makes it so much better. I loved all of the characters and the dynamic between all of them. The twist of the Cinderella story was great. I would love to see a Novella of all 4 of them together once Nero gets ahold of them.

Story: Elise, a downtrodden servant, yearns for escape from her tormentor, her stepbrother, Rowan. Elise's morally gray love interests Zakari, Rowan, and Nero, each bring a unique, twisted dynamic to the story pays homage to the original fairy tale while weaving suspense, emotion, and mystery into a new narrative which delves into taboo themes like stalking and dub-con. Dark RH romance with plenty of heat, twists, suspense, and more in this twisted take on the classic Cinderella story.

Audio: Narrator Elena Wolfe does a great job with Elise and female voices, and a good job with male voices. I personally prefer at least 1 female narrator and 1 male narrator in RH stories, as I sometimes lose track of what character is being voiced and a duet style narration offers more variety to the voices, especially where male voices end more of a low/husky tone when voiced by a female narrator. The audio quality is good and there were no issues.

First of all, I bought this book mainly because Elena Wolfe is narrating it. As expected, she did a phenomenal job with the different characters especially the men in Elise’s life. I love the dark side of this tale and the author did a great job making it deliciously sexy. However, there are times in the story where I just want to shake the stupidity out of Elise. overall, I enjoyed it and love what Elena has done.

OMG 🤯🤯🤯 If you’ve ever dreamed of a darker version of Cinderella, made even better as a reverse harem, then STOP 🛑 You’ve found it…right here 😉 This is the dark side of the story that we never knew we needed y’all 🙌🏻 Well, at least I didn’t know I needed it, but now that I’ve heard it brought to deliciously vivid life…yeah, I’m gonna have to relisten…A LOT 👀🫣😳😈🥵🔥 Leann sure does know how to take a fairytale, dip it in different shades of darkness, and what comes out will take you on a roller coaster of enticingly dark decadence 🖤 Even better, the audiobook was done so beautifully by Elena 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 She handled all the characters so well, and made me feel everything so clearly, with just the right balance of believability & storytelling. So happy this story hit my radar! It is definitely going to live rent free in my head for awhile lol ❤️ ✨Remember though, everybody’s definition of dark is different, so be sure to check the TWs 😉✨

About the story:
What a good retelling of Cinderella. We have a dark why choose/RH fast-burn with tab00 topics.
The FMC is a girl with little self-esteem who just wants to find someone who loves her in order to eacape her stepmother. But she looks in the wrong places and doesn't see what's in front of her. The MMCs will have to show her how worthy she is.

About the format of the book:
I'm surrendered! It was my first audiobook and I loved it. I was a little skeptical because I love reading, but there are so many moments when I can't be reading but it allows me to listen: doing laundry, going for a walk,...
I also like the reader's performance. I thought it was funny when she did the child's voice, but otherwise it was like listening me reading. I loved.

I loved the story. Fairytale retellings are always great. While the narration was good I think it would have been better as a suet with full cast. Great job.

I was lucky enough to snag an arc copy of this audiobook. Let's just say do not cook and listen to this audio book. I will never look at 🌽 the same way. Be sure to look at the TW BEFORE you start this book. It is dark. I just wished it was dual audio.

This book!! I completely devoured it. Elena Wolfe did such a beautiful job bringing these characters to life. There were so many unexpected twists and turns, At one point I had to go back and re listen to a part because I couldn't believe what was happening. I'm hooked and will be going back to listen to the rest of the series!

The Cinderella Retelling I never knew I needed

I absolutely Love this book it was really good. It gives a whole new to Cinderella.
And her wicked stepmother bought his dead step sister. She has a stepbrother. Who actually in the end wind up, loving her, which is really a surprise I think this is a better telling of Cinderella, even though it sort of a twisted tail. This is the best retelling of a twisted tail if Cinderella. and I love that they’re more than one love interest.

The writing and retelling is amazing! Leann just had a way with taking a fairy tale and twisting it into a dark story. I'm not a big fan of the voice actor but it was still a good listen.
