The stories of the Incubus Masters and different houses is pretty cool world building. It keeps the standard fated mates tropes from getting so stale.

The authors did a good job of keeping the writing consistent between stories.

Developing mystery of big bad and bigger bad with conspiracy makes for intriguing read.

The narrator was nasally and not what I would have expected at all. She mispronounced a lot of names and a few words and it was just a really weird…Midwestern accent maybe? Very strange for a bunch of Italian and international main characters.

The narrator pissed me off the whole time! She kept saying "She" instead of "He"!!!!!!! Ahhhhhh!

Lara Adrian has written four books about the 4great breed houses. In these Stories each warrior has a specific talent. Each book brings you closer to the summation of their quests.
I've enjoyed this series very much! Try it!

4 Novellas. The premise was good. However, each of these novellas should have been made into full length novels. I’m not really into insta-love/insta-sex. So it was really hard to suspend my disbelief and get into what little story there was. Basically, they were more sex than story. I have nothing against the sex part, just would like more story to go with it. These were akin to scripts to soft porn flicks. Not truly bad, but not truly good either. Good thing this compilation was free with my Audible membership or I would really be annoyed. Now I can return it and forget I ever read it.

One more thought. The narrator should only be narrating children’s books. I felt like I was listening to a kindergarten teacher reading the book to me. Which I found disturbing. Her voice was nasally and she had a preachy accent that kind of grated. All hard vowels. Also, narrators should absolutely always have their word pronunciations down. This narrator did not. Do publishers think before they choose the narrator for their books? If they don’t, then they should. A narrator can make or break an audiobook. This narrator broke this book.

Arika Rapson sounds like a over-blown caricature of a mid-western housewife from an SNL skit. There, I said it. I know it's mean, but it's all I can think of when I hear her sour, grating voice.

I don't know if the book is good or not, because I can't get past the first 5 minutes of her voice.

I just can't believe I bought this.

Awful narrator. Truly one of the worst on Audible.
