Resumen del Editor

From International Best-SElling Erotic Romance Author Sierra Cartwright

"Even racier than Fifty Shades." (Mail Online)

"Cartwright’s writing is wonderful. The words flow easily, and as with earlier books I was seduced into the world she creates. Also, as I’ve mentioned in other reviews, she has a knack of teaching about the BDSM lifestyle through her books without detracting from the erotic, without making it seem like an actual lesson. Everything seems natural and the story rolls effortlessly." (Long and Short Reviews)

Book six in the Mastered series.

What could be headier than the surrender of a powerfully dominant woman?

Dom Damien Lowell has always respected Domme Catrina Davidson. He likes the way she interacts with her subs - confident, kind, firm. And for years he’s fantasized about her submitting to him. What could be hotter than having the sexy Domme squirming beneath his lash?

One evening, Damien challenges her, saying she’d be a much better Domme if she experienced submission...to him.

Catrina doesn’t have a single submissive tendency. But she’s oh so turned on when she watches a sub respond to Damien. A secret part of her is intrigued, and she asks herself, what harm can come from giving him two weeks?

Over the next fortnight, she is introduced to the pleasures and perils of servitude. She has to admit that he’s right - her understanding of submission is deeper, more profound, than it would have been otherwise. But the private experiences they share in the Den leave her emotionally shattered, making her question everything she thought she knew.

In her unique way, Catrina too challenges Damien, forcing him to grow as a Dom, and he wonders how the hell he’ll ever be able to let her go.

It was pretty good

I’m of two minds about this audiobook. The performance was ok but I thought the sex scenes when Leo was Catrina were awkward. I was happy that in this story one of these omniscient DOM’s finally had a moment of humility. It’s so tiresome when authors follow the theme that the DOM’s know their subs better than the subs know themselves. There is frequent repetition that they’ll give the subs ‘what they need’ and it rings hollow. In this story Damien, the ‘DOM of DOMs’, offers to teach a DOMME how to improve her craft by being his sub for 2 weeks. For most of the story the plot is a retread of most other books with the sub discovering self-fulfillment through submission. The only person surrendering, compromising, suffering and growing is the sub. Occasionally the author will remind us how ‘strong’ the woman is because of her submission however that ‘strength’ is never on display, we are simply expected to accept the assertion. The DOM doesn’t move, doesn’t change, doesn’t compromise because of course he is already perfect. Only at the end does he discover that the woman he has spent the book dominating has become important to him. The DOM in In The Den is a little more human, a little more fallible but I was disappointed by the ending where once again there is little equality and no sign of any real compromise on the part of the Damien..
