Part "I Dream of Jeannie," add a bit of "Psycho" and the result is "I Dream of Gene." Hannah's aunt Marie owns an antique store and on this day Hannah was late after being waylaid by an erotic dream, a dream she can't seem to forget. Helping with cleaning and polishing the items in the store, she comes across an old, tarnished, brass oil lamp that her aunt doesn't remember buying. Feeling a special attachment to the lamp, Hannah takes it home. In a whirlwind of colors from the lamp, Gene appears and the wishes begin. The twist with the actual ownership of the lamp provided some excitement and some psychotic melodramatic family "issues!" It was fun and it was sexy, the perfect short read.
I always look forward to audiobooks narrated by Logan McAllister and he meets and beats my expectations with his presentation of this delightful novella. His dynamic, emotional voice and solid pace and modulation of the story are perfect from start to finish and the characters feel alive.

This was sweet. Entirely satisfying.

Narrator did a great voice for the genie.

I received a free copy of this book but will definitely be trying more by this author (and narrator) even at cost.

This really wasn’t a bad story. I just feel like I would have enjoyed this story more of the fmc wasn’t so wishy-washy. Her near constant back and forth between belief and non-belief really started to get to me. The action portion was pretty good though. I’m not sure how many times I warned her smh… Yes. Out loud. Lol!! Oh! And that slight twist at the end… 👌🏾

Overall, this was a good story. The narrator did well and I was able to see myself in the story very easily.

This was a real listen that was very entertaining! I was ready to slap the MFC when she was ready to jump the bones of Aaron after what he did. But all was well at the end! Great narration and I would listen to more by this author and narrator.
