Part "I Dream of Jeannie," add a bit of "Psycho" and the result is "I Dream of Gene." Hannah's aunt Marie owns an antique store and on this day Hannah was late after being waylaid by an erotic dream, a dream she can't seem to forget. Helping with cleaning and polishing the items in the store, she comes across an old, tarnished, brass oil lamp that her aunt doesn't remember buying. Feeling a special attachment to the lamp, Hannah takes it home. In a whirlwind of colors from the lamp, Gene appears and the wishes begin. The twist with the actual ownership of the lamp provided some excitement and some psychotic melodramatic family "issues!" It was fun and it was sexy, the perfect short read.
I always look forward to audiobooks narrated by Logan McAllister and he meets and beats my expectations with his presentation of this delightful novella. His dynamic, emotional voice and solid pace and modulation of the story are perfect from start to finish and the characters feel alive.

This was sweet. Entirely satisfying.

Narrator did a great voice for the genie.

This really wasn’t a bad story. I just feel like I would have enjoyed this story more of the fmc wasn’t so wishy-washy. Her near constant back and forth between belief and non-belief really started to get to me. The action portion was pretty good though. I’m not sure how many times I warned her smh… Yes. Out loud. Lol!! Oh! And that slight twist at the end… 👌🏾

Overall, this was a good story. The narrator did well and I was able to see myself in the story very easily.

I typically don’t like short stories because they usually leave you wanting more. This is exactly the case with this story. I loved it so much I wish there was at least an epilogue. So many questions too like what is Gene’s relationship now with Aaron? This could have been a great book starting out with their love story 300 years ago and finding each other’s souls again.

This was a real listen that was very entertaining! I was ready to slap the MFC when she was ready to jump the bones of Aaron after what he did. But all was well at the end! Great narration and I would listen to more by this author and narrator.

This author took the genie in a lamp in a very delicious direction as due in part to its sexy voiced narrator. It was a surprise that this story wasn't just rubbing the lamp, making the 3 wishes, and game on. It had depth and unexpected twists. I would love to see this talented author do a longer book. I have no doubt it will hold the interest of the listeners. This book was fun and intriguing. I can't wait for what's in store in Lexi's future book's. I was given a free copy of this book at my request and have voluntarily decided to leave this review.

Whew! This is one hot and steamy book! The story is fun and a joy to listen to. You'll want to make sure you are not around company while listening to this book! This is my third book by Lexi Lovelock and she has quickly become a name I look for when checking out a new erotic story. Her books are well written with nicely developed characters and plots. The narration is wonderful too. Logan McAllister has a smooth deep voice that will pull you into the story with a shiver (the good kind). If your looking for a fun, well written erotic story then you should check this book out!
