First was hot. The second book rehashes the last half of the first book. The exact storyline. I understand that with series, you have to account for new readers that stumble upon later books in the wrong order, but this is wasaaaaay too much - you don’t need hours of rehash. Also the second book, right in the beginning, could have a really a bad PTSD trigger for some people.

i like the narrator until he speaks for the female MC. it was ridiculous and impossible for me to think she was anything but ridiculous herself. ruined the whole book.

Fate is so much more than a book about kink. It is a true love story. Emily and Paul have been best friends since they were kids. However, now Emily wants to be more than just friends. This is a book of self discovery, forgiveness, some kink, and most of all love. In Kink, Paul and Emily explore their relationship to see if Emily can accept his kinky lifestyle. Both learn so much about themselves and each other.

The Audible book is excellent. The narrator pulls you into the story immediately. His male and female voices are very realistic. I love listening to him.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I loved this book, and I was delighted that Andre also appeared in this book. I highly recommend this book.

Fate and Kink: The Duology is a two book series featuring much romance and incredibly hot BDSM sex. Fate focuses on Emily and Paul reconnecting after years apart. Paul was best friends with Emily's brother, and she has always been in love with him. Despite his insistence that she was too much like a little sister and his years away from her, Paul counts Emily as one of the only people in his life that he can trust. Emily decides to rid herself permanently of her obsession with Paul by disguising herself, seducing him into a one-night stand and disappearing back to her life to find somebody to love other than Paul. However, not only is the sex phenomenal, but Paul feels an attachment to this woman that he has never felt and wants to continue their relationship. Eventually, the truth comes out and much conflict results. Fortunately, during the months of emails between Paul and his mystery woman, Emily has grown not only to know how much she doesn't want to be without Paul, but she has grown strong, self-confident and willing to force Paul to confront not only his past but the insecurities that keep him from fighting for their love. Paul doesn't really stand a chance against this strong and loving Emily.

Book two, Kink, focuses mostly on Emily and Paul developing a passionate, loving and trusting relationship. This is mostly handled through intense training by Paul of Emily in the many and varied practices of BDSM. Paul craves control above all else, and Emily loves submitting to him in all ways. Although the sex scenes are prolific and detailed, underlying them is the building of a relationship that is mutually satisfying for both Emily and Paul. Emily helps Paul overcome all his deepest fears, and Paul helps Emily to further grow in self-confidence. Sprinkled throughout this BDSM training is some family drama and a bit of mystery and suspense. I think my favorite scene of the entire series is when Paul knows that he must make a grand gesture to prove his complete and lasting faithfulness to Emily, and what a gesture it is! Overall, for fans of the BDSM genre, this is a wonderfully entertaining series.

Guillaume Dubois's narration is excellent. He handles both the male and the female characters equally well, and he has a beautiful French accent. Other than a few mispronounced words that disrupted the flow of the story, his narration was very smooth and enjoyable.

This book gave me a new outlook on BDSM, and I love it!! I enjoyed the build up of love and respect between the H/h. The sex scenes had me fanning myself at times. This series was awesome!! Highly recommend it! #audiobookobsession

If you enjoy BDSM you will LOVE this one. If you have any issues with BDSM this is not the book for you. It's well written but can be repetitive and it's very long with a ton of detail. The plot was decent and the narration was great.

I enjoyed both books. The first book was a little tamer than the second book. Definitely some hot sex scenes. Hard BDSM in Kink. Liked getting to know Emily and Paul and see how they worked out their issues to be together.

Two books in one! What more can a reader and buyer ask for. Nikki Sex does BDSM better than anyone. The narrator did an amazing job and had distinct voices for each character. The books held my attention even after their 20 hour combined length.
