I love this thing. I think these two people are people who could have had other people, their own ages, but found exactly what they wanted - in each other - Laine is much older than her years - she has survived no thanks to Mom or Dad or her "friend". She knows what she wants and she doesn't have to stay - Nick gives her outs - but she's found the first guy she really wants - and knows what she doesn't want by watching Mom all these years. Laine and Nick are very self aware, and reveal intelligence and maturity in several junctures throughout. I read this a while back, the narration enhances the story. If my daughter had a man this devoted and established as Nick, yes, even at 18 or 19, I would have welcomed him - once I knew a little about him. You want a man who is ready to put his woman in front of his own needs, and yet giving her room to grow. I'm all about real devotion, intimacy, communication - and these two have this in spades. Though there is definitely sex - there is so much more to the story, just like 50 shades, that reveals itself throughout.

Call me crazy... but this is a Favorite from Jade!

Well. Jade West will write some taboo shit. I mean straight up filthy, taboo stuff 🤭 I don’t even know what to think. It can push some major triggers, will make you feel downright uncomfortable. While I know this kink is out there, this pushes pretty hard. Calling your man daddy in bed or as an endearment when joking around is one thing but this just throws it ALL out there.

Okay. So right off the bat this book is not for everyone. I can tell you that much. I know for a fact people wont like this book because it's VERY taboo and kinky.

For me, this is right on up my alley. I love the taboo, forbidden and age gap. I love how Jade handled this subject. The relationship didn't feel forced or cheap, maybe for some, uncomfortable. I thought that they had great development, as a couple and individually, from beginning to end. This author is a fantastic writer and I keep forgetting that I need to read more of her work!

I loved being able to also listen along with the audio of this one. It made the experience even better!

I haven’t read any daddy fantasy stories like this before and I have to say that I definitely had mixed feelings. It was definitely hot but felt weird and there was an underlying story there about two people that needed each other. So, if you can get past the weirdness factor, I think it’s worth the read/listen!

So this book started out OK, peaked at her first sexual encounter with Nick then slowly started on a downward spin. I'm all for any type of consensual sex. ANY TYPE. But what started to kill it for me was his super controlling and abusive behaviors, treating Lane like an object or possession OUTSIDE of the bedroom. Really killed the whole thing for me. Sad because I really wanted to get into this book.

loved the story and the voice actors were amazing. only issue I had honestly was the actors to turns with the chapters instead of sharing chapters and staying in that characters voice throughout.

Nick and Laney are perfect for each other! This book is not perverse, it's a good storyline.
Nick is a successful and good looking business man. Laney is an only child, her mother is never around for her. She lives in an old house in a seedy neighborhood in London.
I love how she and Nick met! I also loved the Epilogue!

I’ve come to learn that Jade West is a great story teller/writer. I’ve read/listen to some of her books, some are not so great, or I don’t feel any connection, but the ones that are great are really great! Her point of view in delicate matters is so wonderful. I love some of the topics she chooses to write about… taboo, forbidden, love, life… the way she approaches these topics is so delicate and well written. This story, as well as “Sugar Daddies”or “Hello Stranger” are such good stories, very well written. At the beginning I kept putting them off because of the titles, I thought they were just silly smut/porn, and although they have enough spice to last a lifetime, what makes these books good is the story, how each character got there, and their unconventional situations, mostly the love, so much love. Worth the listen!
