Wow I have never heard an audible book before and this was just
Amazing, I have read all of Brenda Rothert's books and loved them all, and just listening to a book I have previously read was such a unique experience, so different .. and such a nice change .. I love Kate and Rykes story it's one of my favorites and all I can say is just having listened to the story made me enjoy it even more!! This was my first audible book and for sure won't be my last :) Thank you Brenda for allowing me the chance to experience this, I am truly greatful! !! I highly recommend this book to everyone!

Touchingly sweet, heartbreakingly heart wrenching, dumb grin cracking, beautiful, sexy, steamy love story.... :)

A hockey-romance that is packed with heart-ache, searching to move past the heart, discovering life, chemistry, and steam. I enjoyed the developing relationship between Ryke and Kate. The story grabs your attention from the start giving you background into the past of the couple. I really enjoyed the two as individuals and also them working in their relationship. There is no denying the attraction between the two but the story was for sure a slow burn. This a book that will keep you invest from first page until the last.

I read this book years ago and really enjoyed it so I jumped on the opportunity to listen to this in audio form. I loved the audiobook more than I did reading it. I loved how the couple met and how Ryke wanted to help Kate. Kate's issues with intimacy seemed very realistic and I love how Ryke came into her life to show her what love really is. I feel that narrators did a wonderful job with the story. Kirsten Leigh felt so perfect as Kate. She really evoked the emotion of the character in her narration. I also loved Chris as Ryke. He did a really great job. Definitely recommend this book and plan on listening to the rest of this series.

I love sports romance and when it has a sweet side it’s even better. I love the chemistry between Ryker and Kate, they bring out the best in each other.

The plot of this was interesting and I was hopeful that I would like it. The main female character, Kate, was too irritating for me. She was super insecure, hot and cold, and didn't treat Ryke very well. I kind of didn't want them to get together. The narrators were good.

A sweet story of two people who loved others. And lost them unexpectedly. The story is about how they meet and how they cope with that loss. And ultimately how time heals all wounds eventually.

What made the experience of listening to Bound the most enjoyable?

It is immediately evident that the narrators are well versed professionals. Both the male and female narrators powerfully bring the characters of Kate and Ryke to life in ways I never imagined. Having read the book first, and thoroughly enjoying it, I was surprised at how an auditory experience helped create an entirely different perspective.

Who was your favorite character and why?

That's a tough one! Both Kate and Ryke are well deserving favorites.

What does Chris Ruen and Kirsten Leigh bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Chris and Kristen's voices draw the listener right into the story - fully immersing them, in ways not possible via reading. Chris' strong male voice is a perfect match for hockey player, Ryke. Kristen taps into Kate's emotional journey and brings the listener right along as she changes from beginning to end.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
