I love the MC series. Marteeka Karland is amazing. I love Umi Markkanen voice, she really makes the story come alive. Blood and Ali are perfect match.

Blood and Alizay need each other...Blood to direct his energy and protectiveness on and Alizay for someone to trust and to learn how to live after her imprisonment,

Again, I listen because of Umi voice and because Marteeka has tapped into Bikers that we are not privy too.

from the usual but not really. I liked that the FMC was taking care of the MMC and while she did have the crazy background she was more on the healing side of things. This was a fun one and nice to see familiar faces from other MCS. Narration was done well as usual.

I love crabby old sexy guys! Blood and his physical therapist. Lots of action in this short read/listen. I was gifted an Audible version of this book from the author through Story Origin. The narrator, Umi Markkanen is just the best! She brings these characters alive. Even her male voice is good and believable. 5 stars for her as well.

This book was a great listen, and I loved the story. It was interesting and well-paced. The storyline was well done, and the characters were interesting and created well. The story was a good addition to the series.

This story is a slightly different take on the common theme I find in MC books. Usually, the guy is rescuing the girl from something or someone. In this story, there is no rescue. Blood is injured and needs physical therapy. He is a typical guy who is grumpy, and refuses help. Alizay works on Blood. One thing leads to another, and the romance develops. The story is well written. The narration is well done. I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Story review- this book very much focuses on the relationship between the two main characters rather than a Big Bad. It’s cool.

This is much like Karland’s other MC reads—fun, quick, and a little dirty. I do enjoy them—even though, she seems to write all her heroes exactly the same as far as personality and manner of speaking. I can’t say I’d hate it if she’d build in some character development, however, these are FAST reads, and the men are dreamy. There’s nothing wrong here.

This one was a smidge different from the others as far as the premise—the danger happens off the bat and we’ve got a wounded /recovering hero for the rest of it. Fun, all around.

*Note: I’m not sure the continuity was perfect. She was said to be 20 and already a nurse and PT ? But still, a fun read. A slight aging up could easily fix this.

Absolutely perfect audio. One narrator who manages to make all of the books in this world sound full-cast, plus flawless overall sound. ALL the stars.

I really enjoy this series. I am glad Blood got to find his old lady. Even though he was mean to her as a nurse. he finally had won her oven

Alizay "Ali" is awesome. Her background is absolutely abhorrent, but I love how she works hard to better her situation. Even more, she does a good job of standing up for herself. Especially when it comes to Blood.

Once he learns about her past, I love how Blood doesn't shy from his desires, but takes steps to be cognizant of her boundaries, some unvoiced. He pushes her here and there, but not in a negative, detrimental manner.

The crossover with Bones, ExFil, Black Reign, Shadow Demons, and Argent Tech characters (some of which may not have a series or books) is fantastic. I love it! Seeing everyone interact is magnificent for a Christmas themed story, and how they all welcome Ali is awesome.

There is an inconsistency about her v-card status. I suspect that the intent was to convey that she was a v when it came to intimacy by choice. Having been around many young victims of sexual assault, I know that was how they saw themselves, and I would agree.

I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrator is Umi Markkanen. She does a great job with the all of the characters.
