The ending was disappointing and made no sense. In my view it destroyed the world the book was built around. I can’t say more than that as it will spoil for those that have not read it yet.

Third Person POV 🫤

Caspenon & Leo (MMC) and Temperance (FMC). Honorable mention: Apollo (Caspen's brother) who is too charismatic and sexy to not be acknowledged ;)

Most of the spicy scenes are very hot 🔥🥵🌶️.

This book was imo, not as good as the first one. However, I found it thoroughly entertaining and although I wish that the story had ended differently (as stated in many other reviews) I understand why the author decided to end one of the MMC's life. The reason is that basically Tem couldn't decide who she wanted to keep (Caspen or Leo), so something had to happen, or rather someone had to make the tough decision (in this case, one of the MMC's).

Anyhow, if you decide to go with the flow of the story and take it for what it is: a smutty, romantasy about a woman in love with the king Basilisk and the human king, I think that you might enjoy this book. Strap in, because its a wild ride.

After book 1 being an incredible and unique one, this felt like unedit draft. no character growth, rushed plot and ending, constant repetition, smut which you want just to fast wlforward, because it is not even outrageous and hot anymore.
