The narrator 's male voice was much better than her voice for the female character. The story would've been much better with a Black woman to narrate. Other than that, the story was passable. But again the narrator left much to be desired.

I would rather have my credit returned.

Tessa is an attractive, affluent black DC attorney who who goes on a series of terrible dates that keeps taking her to the same restaurant where Phil, her tatted friend-with-benefits, bartends. Tessa's bad luck moments were hilarious and Phil is there to kiss away the pain. I love this couple's banter and chemistry. Phil is constantly on his feet working, so it's understandable that the only time he gets with Tessa is watching her in the restaurant on her awful dates before having his way with her when she leaves the dates for him. Not to mention that Tessa feel that Phil can't be anything more to her because of his bad boy nature. Therefore, the book is filled with erotic moments between them to where one would wonder if there was anything else to their relationship. I still felt satisfied with this story and enjoyed how everything came together in the end.

the first chapter was so insensitive a Black woman should have did the narration and I, don't know one black man who believes the white man and pork is the reason for a woman's periods and black people do tip when service with respect.
