Ah, remember ye olde days when the family would gather around the giant Philco radio and listen to serials? You don’t? We don’t either. But apparently that’s how Cinnamon Bear was born on November 26, 1937, as the star of a holiday season cliff-hanger-style children’s radio series. We hear it was quite the rage!

The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.

For this story, Emmy award winning actor and creative renaissance man, Alan Cumming, brings us the tale of The Swan Prince's Lantern. In a quiet glen hidden from time, a swan prince lights his lantern each night, casting soft golden light across the reeds and reflecting pools. As moonlight ripples on the water and gentle wings stir the mist, the prince recalls the stories of stars, wishes, and the spell that gave him his form. A magical fable told in whispers, where light and love linger on the edge of dreams.

In this full-length novel written exclusively for audio, authors A. J. Hartley and David Hewson rethink literature’s most infamous married couple, grounding them in a medieval Scotland whose military and political upheavals are as stark and dramatic as the landscape in which they are played.

"Come one, come all"
"There are few greater showmen around than Alan Cumming. He can act, sing, and dance, and let’s not forget his razor-sharp wit. And he’s never afraid to share his opinion, as he does in Legal Immigrant, exploring how his life as a Scotland-born naturalized American citizen has impacted him and shaped his views on current immigration policies. His politics are clear and so is his talent. Cumming performed and recorded the show at the Minetta Lane Theatre, eliciting laughter and poignant moments of connection, while interspersing his story with an eclectic selection of songs that lend to the theme and mood. It felt like I spent a couple of wonderful hours at a fabulous cabaret show that you now also get to experience."
