My super-mutt,

Trigger, is my senior rescue dog, sidekick, and best bud. Before coming into my life, he was surrendered to a shelter, but was quickly saved by a rescue organization. When I learned there were two new Audible originals about troublemakers and rescue dogs, I knew I had to turn over the editorial leash to my 13-pound BFF. —Heather

My name is Trigger, and I used to live in Texas, then I moved all by myself to Brooklyn. Sometimes I was confused and scared when I was traveling, but there were good people from a pet rescue who helped me all along the way. I can be shy around new people, but when I met Heather, I sat right beside her on the couch and decided to adopt her. Now she helps me feel brave, and we have lots of adventures. But sometimes she calls me a troublemaker. I’m not really sure what that means. Why is it a problem to throw her dirty socks all over the living room? Why shouldn’t I climb on the table and sniff all the smells? And couch cushions really are the safest place to hide my cookies. But no matter what I do, every night we settle down to listen to stories, and she says I’m the best doggo in the whole wide world.
