    • I stayed up until 3AM
    • I thought I'd just get a taste for the story then listen to it the next day, but I got a little distracted and before I knew it I was engrossed. The premise of Home Alone in a stasis ship as middle grade novel is just one of those ideas that's so good it's a surprise it hasn't been done; and Dan Wells completely delivers on it. It manages to be light and fun at the same time that it's tense and gripping...YA and middle grade isn't generally my scene, but the quality transcends those preferences for me. So, I'd recommend it for kids or adults, anyone with good taste. It was worth staying up that late for, but seriously Dan, didn't you know I had stuff to do in the morning. You could have warned me. Listening to it all in one go made for a good experience, so maybe make sure you have a few clear hours. I recently found out he is working on a sequel. Count me in.— C B, Audible Listener

    • Absolutely fabulous!
    • This is one of my favorite movies and I'm so glad I finally listened to the book. What a gem! This is a long book and will take you some time to really understand what's going on. Once I could follow the story line, I was hooked. The story is fascinating and made me laugh and cry. Some of the language is pretty crude and extremely descriptive (that I could have done without) but the whole of the story is wonderful. The aspect of time travel has always intrigued me but this story shows the "not so great part" of time travel. One of the things that made this book so enjoyable were the narrators. Fred Berman and Phoebe Strole were absolutely wonderful. Their inflections and voices transported me into the lives of Henry and Claire. I will definitely listen to more books narrated by these two talented voices.—Love2Read, Audible Listener

Beautiful and lyrical and gripping, as well, with a great performance. If you haven't read this since high school, or never have, so yourself a flavor and listen carefully to this one, with your eyes closed and your mind tuned. It gets inside you. • Dark and gritty. Immersive and involving. Read it!
    • One of the few books I've come back to read again and again. It was the first book I selected for my book club and one that I've recommended more than any other...While no one character or event is a direct copy from reality, they were crated with the ingredients of what really happened. Over the years I have met people who lived through this horrific event and although it's really not my place to say, I feel that he has done a good job representing some facets of life for those who lived it. Albeit in a fictionalized way that keeps the reader engaged and interested...It has emotional swings that bring you up and back down with the hardships, pains, and joys of the main character and her family. It will probably leave you thinking about every day conveniences we take for granted and may help put your own problems into a larger perspective. I know it has for me. I hope you give it a read and that you enjoy it as much as I did.—Nicholas, Audible Listener
