At Audible, we believe audio stories expand how young people see themselves and the world. We're launching an open call to collaborate with nonprofits across the United States that are ready to bring that belief to life—integrating listening experiences into youth development programming and giving young people more to imagine with as they shape their futures.
Selected organizations will receive funding and access to Audible for the youth in their programs, and we will work alongside you to ensure that access translates into real, lasting engagement.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking small to mid-sized nonprofits that deliver direct programming to 150 to 300 underrepresented youth ages 12 to 18 outside of formal school settings, in structured, recurring settings such as after-school programs, community centers, and youth development organizations, as well as nonprofits with a specific focus on literacy. Selected organizations will incorporate Audible into their existing programming, creating intentional moments of discovery through workshops, listening sessions, and guided exploration that inspire youth to engage with audio content and sustain that engagement over time, with a minimum of biweekly touchpoints.
Measuring impact is central to this collaboration. We are looking for organizations that are committed to collecting meaningful data on youth engagement and outcomes, and to sharing those insights so that together we can elevate the impact of audio stories in youth development.
What Collaborating Organizations Receive
Grant funding between $20,000 and $40,000 to support program design and delivery, determined by program scope and youth reach
Access to complimentary memberships for program participants
Onboarding support and implementation resources
A shared metrics framework
Public recognition as part of Audible's official program launch
The intention to grow these into multi-year collaborations with organizations that demonstrate strong engagement and measurable impact

Frequently Asked Questions
What if our organization does not currently use audio content in our programming?
That is perfectly fine. We are looking for organizations with strong programming foundations and direct relationships with youth. Experience with audio content is not a prerequisite. We will provide onboarding support and resources to help you integrate Audible into your existing work.Is this program open to organizations nationwide?
Yes. Any eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofit operating in the United States may apply, regardless of geographic location. What do you mean by "underrepresented youth"?
For the purposes of this program, underrepresented youth includes young people who self-identify as part of one or more of the following communities: BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, Asian/Asian American, Latinx/Hispanic), LGBTQIA+, woman-identifying, youth with disabilities and/or neurodivergence, and youth who do not identify as part of the majority community in their place of residence. We recognize that underrepresentation looks different in every community, and we welcome applicants to describe the specific barriers and inequities their youth face in their own words. Can we apply if our organization serves youth outside the 12 to 18 age range?
Yes, as long as the programming proposed for this collaboration specifically serves youth ages 12 to 18. Your organization may serve a broader age range overall, but the youth enrolled in this program must fall within that range. Can overhead costs be included in the budget?
Yes. We understand that delivering quality programming requires organizational infrastructure. Applicants may include overhead costs of up to approximately 10% of the total grant request. Can multiple organizations from the same region apply?
Yes. We welcome applications from multiple organizations in the same geographic area. Each application will be evaluated independently. If I am a K-12 institution, can I apply?
Unfortunately, we are unable to consider applications from K-12 institutions at this time. However, if you are a K-12 institution with 501(c)(3) status and the ability to accept private funds, you are welcome to apply.
