My name is Dr. Robert Duff. I’m a psychologist from Southern California and I think that the field of mental health has a big problem. It is scary and intimidating. Why? When you are already struggling with emotional difficulties, the last thing that you need is some huge psychobabble manual thrown at you. My specialty is taking complex psychological issues and breaking them down into plain language. There are several facets to the work that I do. My normal “day job” is as a practicing psychologist in private practice where I do in-person and online psychotherapy as well as neuropsychological assessment (basically testing for memory, attention, reasoning etc.). I am also the best selling author of the Hardcore Self Help book series, which includes books “F**k Anxiety” and “F**K Depression”. These are self-help books for people that normally hate self-help books. Along the same lines, I host a weekly podcast in which I take mental health questions from the audience and interview interesting guests. Finally, I am also a Youtube entertainer, where I share psychology, mental health, and lifestyle videos.
