Pip Harry is an Australian author and journalist who lives on the coast in Sydney. Her acclaimed verse novel The Little Wave won the 2020 Children’s Book Council of Australia Book of the Year Award for Younger Readers. In 2023, her middle grade novel August & Jones won the CBCA Shadow Judging Book of the Year, voted entirely by Australian school students. Her debut picture book Over or Under? with illustrator Hilary Jean Tapper was a CBCA Notable title and shortlisted for the Australian Book Industry Awards (ABIAs) Her latest works are YA verse novel Drift, an Indie Book Award finalist and The Inside Dog with illustrator Carolyn Davis. Three picture books - Spare Kisses, The Fast Lane and The Goodbye Tree - are due for release in 2026. Pip writes for various media outlets and is passionate about supporting emerging writers and encouraging literacy and reading in young people.
