My journey to become an author… After a rewarding, 20 year career in the field of education, I was beginning to feel the tug to pursue a new direction. During any free time, I usually was watching anything to do with football or else I was at the computer, writing. It made sense for me to unite these two passions into a new career. The result of this union is Under His Helmet. My life at home… I am married to my best friend of 27+ years, Dustin Garrett. We have two wonderful children who are attending college in our great state of Texas! We live in Arlington, Texas, with our menagerie of pets: 3 dogs and 4 cats. What wins my attention… When I’m not writing, I enjoy throwing Frisbee with Levi, photography, reading, listening to music, going to the movies and of course anything to do with football!
