Dan Schichel was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota. He received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior as a young boy while attending a Pentecostal Church Service. His experience that day would change his life forever. Being born again and filled with the Holy Spirit set him on a course to seek and understand who God is and what it means to be a Christian. Although he suffered tragic loss as a young child, his faith kept him full of hope; even in the most difficult times of life. After graduating high school, Dan served in the Military and eventually completed a career in Public Service. While serving his country, Dan also served in various local Churches and worked in ministry, including teaching, and preaching God’s word, and Pastoring a small Church in Southern California. His unique leadership experience encompassing high levels of leadership within the Public Service arena as well as the Local Church, gives him a unique perspective. The struggle and frustration he observed in Christian people’s lives with seemingly no real change, no fruit, as well as his own pain and struggle, forced him to cry out to God for answers. “What does it mean to be a Christian?” “How does Christianity work?” “How do I find and fulfill your will for my life?” With those prayerful questions, God began to move in his heart in a powerful way with vivid images and pictures of the true transforming power of the Holy Spirit. His book, “Evidence of Christianity”, comes directly from those encounters with God in prayer. Dan retired from public service in 2018 and currently resides in Southern California with his wife, two children and granddaughter.
