Pets and pickleball are current passions of mine. Since retirement, I have been volunteering at the local humane society. I had an experience of a lifetime mothering an abandoned newborn puppy. A story was there, I just had to put some nice words to it. And plenty of photos. "Diary of a Dumpster Pup" is a little book with a lot of heart. "Sleepless in New Orleans" takes you along on our challenging mission to rescue 100 dogs and cats from hurricane disaster areas and rehome them. Includes photos. "Pickleball: The Bitchin' Kitchen'" was fun to write while I was in COVID-19 "house arrest." Pickleball is such an upbeat sport, I wanted to create a book that reflects the laughter and joy. There are plenty of vivid tips along with the quips. Most recently I created "Pickleball: The Unofficial Rulebook" which presents all of the game's rules in easy-to-read language with examples. When I am not writing, I am editing my husband's books and supporting his publications. Douglas Keil has a vivid imagination and is a creative storyteller.
