The author Sri "M" is an extraordinary individual. His uniqueness lies not only in the fact that at the young age of 19 and a half, he travelled to snow-clad Himalayas from Kerala, and there he met and lived for several years with a "real-time" yogi, Babaji, but also that he should undertake such an unusual and adventurous exploration, given his non-Hindu birth and antecedents. The metamorphosis of Mumtaz Ali Khan into Sri "M", a yogi with profound knowledge of the Upanishads and deep personal insights, is born of first-hand experiences with higher levels of consciousness....

Publisher's summary
What started the war between the sexes? When two artists, Becca Tzigany and James Bertrand, began a worldwide investigation into the forbidden history of humanity, they could not have predicted the clues they would uncover across cultures to what holds us back from deep intimacy and spiritual sex. Venus and Her Lover is their long-awaited opus.
Accompany Becca and James behind veils, deep into shadow realms, and through the pleasures of liberation beyond our dominator society. Their two-volume memoir is the result of decades of Tantric sex, meditation journeys, and intellectual scrutiny, which weaves tales of personal struggle, encounters with mythological archetypes, and the ecstasies of sexual union into a powerful new view of our planet in transition.
Follow the artists' adventures across Peru, Mexico, Puerto Rico, New York, California, New Mexico, Italy, Greece, Hawaii, Thailand, India, and Nepal to discover:
- The influences of mythological archetypes and archetypal psychology.
- Where we are in the Spiral of Evolution, according to integral philosophy.
- The primal sources of sexual passion channeled through Tantric practices and how they can lead to soul awakening.
- How the “Return of the Goddess” goes beyond feminism to calling up the divine feminine and mature masculine.
- How to heal trauma and break disempowering patterns through consciousness science.
- How surrendering to one's destiny path leads to magic, synchronicities, and miracles.
A revolutionary spiritual memoir 20 years in the making, Venus and Her Lover will reveal to you how ancient spiritual principles and the secret history of sexuality offer the path to personal wholeness and fulfilling relationships.

Story
At the beginning of his career, Joseph Campbell developed a lasting fascination with the cultures of the Far East, and explorations of Buddhist and Hindu philosophy later became recurring motifs in his vast body of work. However, Campbell had to wait until middle age to visit the lands that inspired him so deeply. In 1954, he took a sabbatical from his teaching position and embarked on a year-long voyage through India, Thailand, Cambodia, Burma, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and finally Japan.

"There is a promise Holy Mother makes to us," explains Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes, "that any soul needing comfort, vision, guidance or strength, can cry out to her, flee to her protection, and Blessed Mother will immediately arrive with veils flying. She will place us under her mantle for refuge, and give us the warmth of her most compassionate touch, and strong guidance about how to go by the soul's lights." Following Venus and Her Lover ...
Becca's voice to this audiobook listener is nothing short of pure joy. The story telling of their exploits put me (almost) in the same room, certainly brought about similar memories due to her details. All in all I quite enjoyed their adventures around the world and will revisit often.

Recommended for seekers of new thought & paradigms
Venus and Her Lover is a book that defies categorization. The author’s tale weaves many elements of philosophy, world travel, tantric sex, spirituality, and psychology that are bound to incite many new seeds of inspiration for those who make it through this decadent web of experiences. Though this is only the first volume of two, by itself it contains enough of Becca’s adventure that it should prompt serious inquiry into many of society’s accepted truths about the history of sexuality, traditional gender roles, and far more topics that are extremely pertinent to our world in perpetual struggle for dominance and power. Highly recommended for anyone seeking profound new insight into new thought and new paradigms.
