This audiobook was great listening! Tammy and Valiant’s story was interesting and sexy. Valiant is one of the New Species who isn’t as human looking as the other NS. He’s also a little antisocial and keeps to himself. Tammy meets Valiant when she accidentally goes to his house while going to cater an event at Reservation. He’s instantly possessive of her and claims her as his mate, but Tammy is not so sure and flees. When Tammy is kidnapped by some crazy Mercile employees, it’s up to Valiant to find her. Great narration!

Okay, so Valiant is my absolute favorite New Species. Valiant is so over the top I was in stitches. This story is funny, sexy and heart warming. Valiant goes from being uber scary king of the jungle lion to cute, cuddly lap kitten -- but look out when the big cat gets needy. This book has the best and funniest sex scenes. Vanessa Chambers does an awesome job narrating.

New Species are very sexual beings so be prepared for explicit sex scenes.

I have listened to the entire series several times so definitely worth the credit.

Ummm Valiant -- What A Beast!

I loved this book. So far this is my favorite in the series. I don’t know if it’s because of Valiant’s vulnerability because he looks more animal than man or because even his own females are afraid of him and he desperately wants someone to love him, Valiant the man. It could be a combination of all the above but this book is indeed my favorite, so far.

Tammy accidentally walks in the wildzone and unto Valiant’s property. Valiant is furious because A. he doesn’t like humans and B. he is a mean son of a bitch but something about Tammy enchants him. Never believing he would ever find a human attractive or want to breed with one, he slowly realizes he wants Tammy. Tammy is frozen out of fear and unable to move or say anything to the man-beast that is slowly stalking near her. It wasn’t until Valiant lifted Tammy in his arms and carries her to his bedroom, that she finds her voice and bravery. But just as Valiant feels he has found someone to share his life with, Tammy leaves him with a knot on his head and an ache in his heart. It isn’t until five weeks later when Tammy is kidnapped and Valiant is asked to track her attacks that their path cross again and this time Valiant is determine to not let his Tammy get away from him, not that Tammy minds so much.

Vanessa voice isn’t the best narrator I have heard but after three books, I have become accustom to it.

Worth a credit, YES YES YES! You don’t have to read the previous two books in this series to understand this book but the books read in order offer a lot of character and world building.

The stories are good but the Narrator is bad when performing voices. Her voice detracts me from the story. It's too bad she's the same narrator for all New Species books

What did you love best about Valiant?

That he was not the perfect, well-mannered, socially adept or correct of the New Species; he held no "office" or status within the Species and was raw, primal, more animal-acting than man but his draw to and then emotions for and protectiveness of Tammy were nonetheless touching.
