Felt shorter but only because I devoured it! Definetly hot and passionate. 10/10 reccomend for avid romance and smut readers. The moving tale of a lonely man amd woman who discover how to read each other's "music" and create a beautiful masterpiece together.

I was so pleased to stumble on this one narrated by Joe Arden! I have loved Skye Warren’s books—what few I’ve enjoyed, but many are narrated by some of the 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘴𝘵 voice performers in the romance biz. I 𝖺𝗅𝗐𝖺𝗒𝗌 veto books narrated by Erin Mallon—nothing personal, she just speaks in an unusual tone and with an unnatural, repetitive inflection that truly makes me agitated—seriously. Others include the nasally Lessa Lamb, and the smoker’s drag voice of Lydia Dornet. Anyway, my point is that narrators make or break a book. I prefer to read for that reason, but alas, I use audiobooks as an escape from mundane daily tasks. Reading is not conducive to productivity. So, I am forced to hungrily devour what little well-written, quality content, and impeccable narration I can find! It’s the perfect combo! Likewise, it’s like the sweet Hugo was written with Joe in mind. Likewise, Bea was a very likable and deep character. The main events were predictable and things moved along at a quick pace, with a lot of time given to Hugo’s somewhat repetitive internal monologue—a critical point for me that usually merits one more star deduction in addition to the one I deducted for this one, but again—voice actors (Joe in this case), make or break books, and Joe Arden is a fabulous collaborator for any author. He, alone likely kept this from being a three star review for the amount of internal monologue alone in a short 6ish hour audiobook. It is often used by authors to fill in where descriptive writing should be. Such was the case herein, but the remaining content was sufficient. Again, there was quite a bit of depth to the characters, and although both the narrative and plot were very straightforward and the events even a bit anti-climactic in the end (given all that was hinted at in the beginning), it was still a sweet story with an enjoyable enough premise.

I initially listened to this book strictly because Joe Arden narrated it; however, I FINISHED this book because the story is MORE than a Love Story. It's about a sheltered, emotionally hurting young women & the "escort" who opens her eyes to the World NOT JUST sex. It's an AWESOME book & worth a listen or 10!!

I don't typically like books that are this short, they usually feel rushed. My only complaint with this one is that I wish is were longer lol but besides that I would totally recommend it!
