A dark but interesting story line. you have to see it through to admire the strength of character in the heroine. A hero she is too. she overcomes darkness to reemerge into the light.

This book is disturbing. It is not for the faint at heart. There are so many triggers, but it captivates you and you can't stap reading. You just want to know the victim makes it out ok.

I found this book to be very hard to handle. would not recommend it to anyone. the sick mind that had to even write it. has to be a deep dark desire if author.

I was worried that this book would turn into a “Beauty and The Beast” like tale where the victim falls for her abuser… thankfully not the case. It’s a story of surviving mental and physical abuse at the hands of someone who believes they love you. I did not like the narration, but I wonder if the delivery was on purpose so you’d never feel empathy for the villain.

First off, the narrator was good, no complaints. THE PLOT OF THE STORY😱😱 is excellent. Yes there is rated X material for those who want to know. That guy James, let me tell ya, he was in love with the coco or something because he had a large misinterpretation and everything else. I was expecting some unfortunate twist at the very end but there's nothing wrong with the HEA especially after the trauma she endured. I am looking forward to other stories by this author.

I listen to this book for the same reason I watch things like Law and Order SVU. I never got Justice and just hearing or seeing even if it's fictional Justice for fictional people it makes me feel not alone. there are evil things in this world and this book is an example of that. however in my opinion where death does bring a certain piece of mind I would prefer prison and death row so they too know Terror.

I love my dark romance stories. Capture romance stories is one of my favorite genres. This story I am sorry to say isn't a romance. It has all my favorite themes in it.. but just didn't turn into a romance between Kelsey and James. It was a huge disappointment for me. I love it when the story starts out wrong and then somehow the author makes it work between the couple and they get their HEA that was so hard fought for. In my opinion what happened with James was the easy way out. It wasn't in keeping with his character I don't believe. Yes it might have been to late for him to make it better with Kelsey... but I do believe that he could have changed his ways after he realized exactly how far he had fallen, without resorting to taking the easy way out. While I am happy that Kelsey got free and is getting better... it just kind of sours it for me that it is with somebody else and so quickly after what she went thru with James.

I also had a hard time with the narrator of this story. Just the way he delivered some of the lines was off putting. There was several times I laughed listening to him when it was supposed to be a serious moment in the book... but the way he delivered it was just so corny that I laughed. I don't think that the narrator was a good fit for this book.

LISTENER BEWARE THIS STORY MAY STICK WITH YOU LONG AFTER YOU READ IT!!!
This book starts off crazy intense, it was brutal and infuriating to listen to. I found myself several times wanting to kill James, he was such a sick bastard and poor kelsey my heart went out to her, what James had put her through was insane and flat out terrifying. I'm not one to get emotionally wrap up in stories to the point where I want to interact with the characters as if they're real people. this book is not for everyone though, the horrific things kelsey had to go through are extremely explicit, also don't take the warning in the description lightly, I myself was taken back by many of the things that were going on, and this is coming from a person who doesn't let many things get under my skin. very well written story and captivating.

Terrifyingly brutal. Scary as all get out! Chilling. A shocking listen. Be forewarned this exceedingly graphic in all ways. I felt mentally tortured while listening to this one. TW's for EVERYTHING!
