A brand-new extreme horror collection from the twisted mind that brought you WOOMIn Skin, former golden era porn star Larry Walker gets a shot at the role of a lifetime, only to discover it may be his final role ever.

The dark side of the porn industry has bred a monster with a penchant for recreating "classic" scenes. And Larry isn't the first actor The Doll has kidnapped to make his twisted "film". Old friends reconnect over a dead body and a peculiar infection in "Bait," one that makes Alexa crave sex with strangers, which usually ends fatally for her partners. The trouble is, Brook's had a secret crush on Alexa since grade school, but will she be willing to do anything to help her friend?

"Peg" isn't a exactly a unicorn, and she isn't exactly a "pegasus," like the daughter of Peg's owner calls her. But she is a carnivorous equine with a horn made out of cartilage on her forehead. Pay your fee to take a ride, but it will probably be your last.

Warning: Do not download this book if you have a weak stomach, if you're easily disturbed, or if you're looking for a light horror story. This is not that book. Seriously. You've been warned.

Once again, Ralston proves he can write the most messed up stories and still actually have a real story underneath.

Decently written indecent tales

I started *listening* to this book, fully knowing the foul and maybe even vile contents these stories had the potential to hold.

I listened to every word, with interest and anticipation of what happened next. Were there extreme scenes? Yes. Was there vile sex? Yes.

Each story had its own triggering emotions.

Thats how you know when you have a good writer. When they can write something that’s so good, it makes readers not only give them a terrible review, but also attacks the author as a person, in these reviews.

I thought these stories were good. The second story being my favorite.

This was my first read by Ralston and I’ll definitely be back for more of his stories.

3 stars because I wish the second one was longer and the 3rd one felt slightly rushed.

Three story collection with gutsy sex positive punchy tales. It's not especially lurid or extreme aside from mostly reasonable references to sex (there are some macabra shocks but not the far out smut I've found on other sex horrors). Skin (main story) has a nostalgic vibe to an era of Def Leopard shirts and mustaches, 80s porn in a modern era. The villain is a subtle relatable game master figure and a sly semi-serious meta commentary of the vapidness of pornography or rather the idea that porn is empty to this degree of exaggeration as a statement against taking porn as anything too serious (an anti moral majority stab). It's a slow burn psych out with skin that looks at aging and development in porn friendly times. These themes seems rich but the story itself felt a bit too slow burn with casual sex less erotic or shocking; maybe in part the narrator is too chill. The story structure had a nice mirror element. The second story Bait is a deliciously weird sex thriller told more sensually that feels sexy and horrifying. Bait was my favorite of the three and I wish it had gone on longer; gnarly stuff. The third/final story is a more comedy minded bumpkin comeuppance tale told with corny country accent I cared for least of all. Altogether I had fun.
