From the "wild, wicked, and wonderfully imaginative" (Sylvia Day) New York Times bestselling author comes a sinful romance in the Demonica series.

Reaver is an angel with a past, a record, and a less-than-heavenly attitude. Powerful enough to fight alongside the fiercest battle angels-and crazy enough to risk his wings on a one-way mission to hell-he's agreed to go where no angel has ever gone before . . . to steal the most seductive and dangerous prize of Satan himself.

Harvester is one of the Fallen, a once-heroic angel who sacrificed her wings to work as an undercover agent in hell. But now her cover has been blown, and she's doomed to an eternity of agonizing torture. Even if Reaver can snatch her away from Satan's lair, even if they can fight their way out of the underworld's darkest depths, there is one thing Harvester can never escape-her newfound thirst for an angel's blood . . .

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Aaah... Hell yeah!!! And this is why...WOW!!! That's what I have to say about this book. If fans of L. Ione Riders series even believed for one minute this was the end of a saga. Well you're wrong. Not did our dearly beloved naughty angel kick ass he blew the top off a whole lot can worms/cobras… Only those who have already read will get my meaning. LOL!! Well, as usual I will start with the writing/audio translation of the book. Yes, I cheated and couldn’t sneak in the time to actually read the entire book. So, I purchased the audio version from my favorite audiobook website ;-) I must first comment on how great this book was translated into audio. Helen Wick did an amazing voice acting in projecting the various characters (and I mean a lot of them) without confusing the voices, accents and attitudes. She has moved to the top favorite of my voice actors list. Jim F. you’re still my hero. But, wow H. Wick did an amazing job. L. Ione should be quite pleased with the results. Well back to our favorite naughty angels Reaver and Harvester (“R&H”). As usual don’t expect any real reveals in my review because you need to read the book to find out what happens. Our two star-crossed lovers are truly that. Their history dates back when and then some. Because free will and all that business both of them had made their fair share of mistakes (some more than others) and the interferences by others R&H had to first come to terms with their discoveries before moving forward. These issues and only bit more are issues they dealt with throughout the book. Ending with a satisfactory conclusion, which if translated into a real life relationship would be something two individuals who realized their love was greater than the issues could overcome. Then we have the BIG reveal about Reaver’s history that really just blew my top off. Now, I won’t kid you and say I hadn’t figured his history was going to be a game changer… because I wouldn’t. I knew from the beginning that someone like him had to have a huge secret buried deep. Now that it’s all out… well let’s just say L. Ione will be one busy author for the next couple years. If by now you haven’t been moved to read the book yet, well get your lazy bottoms moving. You need to check it out. The timing and flow of the story was just perfect. It will keep the reader on the edge of their seats until they're almost ready to either skip to later chapters or as in my case fast forward to the “good parts”. Don’t do it!!! The intensity will be lost and you will miss the opportunity to enjoy a well written book. The long wait was well worth it. Definite must read book before the end of 2013.

Holy WOW!!

I love the stories but wish they'd quit changing narrators for the series some of the voices make the characters sound a little ridiculous

needs a different narrator

Would you consider the audio edition of Reaver to be better than the print version?

Haven't read Demonica books- all have been on audio

What was one of the most memorable moments of Reaver?

(*****SPOILER ALERT******) love when Reaver loses his wings only to have……..

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

The narrator's actual voice is nice, that wasn't the problem. She wasn't TERRIBLE but more like SO-SO. Her voice (in my opinion) lends itself more to a teenage or YA dystopian novel. She just sounded like a non-plussed fourteen year old in many of the more intense scenes. Example, there were way to many places in her narration where she either;

a)Sounded like a 15 yr girl answering her mother (while texting 12 others) in otherwards, as though speaking but not thinking
b)She often spoke way too fast during paragraphs requiring a little more emotional investment
c)Her tone was often "off" for what she was describing, kinda felt like she (narrator) did not know the characters or had read any of the books

Again; this is NOT a terrible narrator, the tone in her voice is quite lovely. Perhaps she needs to know her material or characters better, or invest in some audio-acting classes

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Not really.

Any additional comments?

Wish you could get Phil Gigante to do this series…..he woulda ROCKED Reaver!

Book is GOOD but lil predictable, narration so-so

I love this series and have read them all. As always, the story was steamy with an interesting twist. The narrator went too far with wierd, distracting voices for the characters.Since I read a lot of these books, some of the voices were really far off from what I had pictured when I read it. It was just a little too much for me.

Great book but too many wierd voices
