Damon Sinclair is a simple Marine with simple needs and after five years of active duty in the sandbox, he's ready to settle down and feed people's souls. But when the rest of his Brothers sign up with the 1Night Stand dating service, the opening night of his new restaurant includes a date with Madame Evangeline's hand picked choice.
Helena Blake has focused her entire life on her education and legal career. But, there must be more to life than legal briefs and the Styrofoam take-out palace decorating the interior of her refrigerator. And finally, a year after signing up for the 1Night Stand service, Eve has found her a date.
Wine is poured, incredible food is served, and sparks fly creating a total seduction of the senses as Damon prepares a birthday celebration that Helena will never forget.

As always, the series continues in depth with weaving sensual nuances into the telling of each character's own story. Having Damon be a chef, creating a dinner of pure titillation had me reaching many times for my vibrator (my b.f. being out of town on biz) as the story continued wonderfully to amazing climaxes and new heights in the seduction department.
Kudos to Ms. Long in continuing to use Christine Padovan as her narrator - her throaty tones were perfect, especially her voice choice for Helena.

What disappointed you about Proud to Serve Her?
Not enough Marine back ground, just the use of the teamWould you ever listen to anything by Heather Long again?
probably not, this story sounded good, but was boring in contentWho would you have cast as narrator instead of Christine Padovan?
this girl's reading voice which turns up at the end of sentences was awful. Sounds like Coleen Marlo, who ruined the Sandra Brown books. What character would you cut from Proud to Serve Her?
this was a short story, but I wasted time listening to it when I have dozens of books yet to listen that I have purchasedmust enjoy food
