Chloe Mason can't remember much about her childhood, except for being in and out of hospitals. Now healthy and all grown up, she's determined to fill the gaping hole that was her past. When she finds her long lost brother, Harry, she discovers family and something else that was missing from her life. Love. As a child, Mike Keillor helplessly watched as his parents were massacred. Vowing to never again be vulnerable, he joined the Marines and became a Recon sniper, SWAT officer, and an expert in martial arts, before establishing his own successful security company. When his friend and partner Harry reconnects with his long lost sister, Chloe, the hard-as-nails Mike is felled by the one thing he can't fight. Love. But their future is jeopardized when Chloe accidentally steps into the path of the Russian mob. Though his adversary is way bigger than he is, nothing can stop Mike from saving the woman who has captured his heart. He lost his family, and he will not lose Chloe. Failure is not an option.

Overjoyed and relieved that the end was what it was. Good read for a rainy afternoon.

Loved the 3rd installment! Idk if there's a 4th but I'm buying the book if I have to! I hope she expands on this last couple, however, this was a lovely story and great plot. Nicely done. I really liked it much better than the 1st one in my opinion. Loved the narrator as always. He doesn't make the women sound whiny. Thank goodness!

Loved it! Ignore the negative ones!

This audiobook gives us the story of Mike and Chloe (who is really Harry Bolts sister Chrissy). I loved this series so much! The writing is wonderful and characters are ones you don't forget. The romance relationship that developed is stymied by Harry's interference and Mike's past reputation. Love wins out in the end and narration was very well performed.

Awesome end to trilogy!

I hate plots where the author is deliberately driving the storyline towards a totally contrived showdown. It shows lack of creativity.
**spoiler**
When Consuelo goes to RBK security to ask for assistance and to turn over the usb drive she found that could bring the villains down, why did she not tell them that she had told the Russians where the heroine lived? She told them everything else. There was not a bleep, as if the author has conveniently swept that bit of information under the rug because she has her plot all lined up for the villains to kidnap the heroine from her condo building. It just makes the whole plot flimsy in the extreme.

Another thing that makes me scratch my head: the hero makes a big stink about how secure his apartment is, blah, blah... yet it took the villains minimal effort to breach his security and kidnap the heroine. So the point is to show how ineffectual the hero is? How much smarter the villains are? or all of the above?

There’s also the issue of heroine’s infertility: it was touched upon briefly in heroine’s head and not at all when she agreed to marry the hero (although this was settled in the epilogue, still....).

Contrived plot
