A boy and his hero
This story was quite a roller coaster of everything that happened to Matty in his youth as he was a pawn in the struggle between his mother and grandfather who did his best to protect the young man from the worst urges of her mercurial nature. It's a very touching view into the struggles of recovery from the PTSD and the development of the relationship between the boy and the man who rescued him on behalf of his grandfather. It's a fragile beauty that is stronger than he realises. I was moved at the end. I highly recommend this book to all lovers of true love.

I could listen to this narrator all day long!
Perfect mix of spice, plot, and emotions!
Oh wow. I was expecting this book to be fun, k!nky, steamy times, but it was that and so much more. I liked how the author thrusts the reader right into the middle of an established D/s relationship, then gradually walks the reader through their love and devotion for each other. There is such a deep bond and love between Master and schiavo. I was in tears over some of the achingly tender moments. Without ruining anything, I'll just say that the ending isn't your typical HEA, but it was beautiful and fit this story perfectly. I loved this book and highly recommend it, especially if you are into er0t!ca with plot.
There are some really, really heavy topics discussed, so if you have any potential triggers, read the blurb! Plus there is some sharing, but certainly no cheating.
And the narrator? His voice is smooth as butter and it perfectly fits Giovanni. I actually got a little emotional when I listened to the sample because it's exactly how I imagined Giovanni's voice, inflection and everything.

Beautiful
This was such a beautiful and loving story. There master servant relationship was amazingly detailed and the addition of sir and the not so conventional HEA broke my heart.

Not What I Expected
Master's Schiavo seemed like a tutorial on a BDSM relationship. Very little mafia action and very emotional. Go into this with caution as there are triggers from start to end. Not your traditional HEA.

Absolutely perfect.
What an amazing book and it’s beautifully written.
A very emotional story that I didn’t stop reading then I bought the audiobook..
The narrator Daniel Carter bought all the characters to life .
A bittersweet read but so compelling.
Their journey wasn’t easy but Giovanni , his Master and Master’s brother managed with , discipline, submission, structure, makes for a wonderful read.

MM Erotic BDSM Heart wrenching Romance
Warning: book will make you fall in love with the characters and then rip your heart out and then kind of make it better. This is a BDSM MM Romance about a master and his slave. They are an established couple and in their roles. Master Valentin must make a very tough decision for his slave Gio and this enters Silvio, Master's brother. Silvio is new to the lifestyle, but is very interested in the dynamic. Master decides to let Silvio become Gio's Sir. Gio falls for his Sir, as does his Sir for him. This arrangement works even after Master returns from the states after handling his business. Then you find out that Master's secret is hear wrenching, and it is devastating, absolutely devastating. I bawled my eyes out, and still have swollen eyes this morning. Sir is able to help Gio, but Gio has lost trust in everyone around him. Gio needs structure and purpose and when he loses this, the demons in his head try to take over. Finally, he is able to get the structure back, but it is a very hard fought process. I absolutely love books that tear you apart, and this one was such a beautiful story. I loved how must Laura told us about the Master & Slave dynamic and then the sir dynamic. Daniel Carter is a new to me narrator and I thought he nailed this.

Understated but powerful
Deliciously filthy. Unashamedly hot. And, surprisingly, endearingly tender. Original storytelling, unique characters, lots of fabulous steam, and an unexpected third act that will warm and break your heart in the best ways. The subtleties in the narrator’s voice inflection make this story all the more powerful, whether he’s changing characters or highlighting their varying tones, such as Gio’s haughtiness, Silvio’s playfulness, or Master’s stern tenderness. All around excellent.

Completely Blown Away
This new to me author completely exceeded my expectations after reading the blurb. The author took me on a emotional rollercoaster, and I loved every minute of it. The new to me narrator did an exceptional job narrating. This story was beautiful, heart-wrenching, and hard to stop listening to. I know there is going to be a prequel, but I would love a sequel!

Absolutely amazing series
Thank you so much to Laura Lascarso for this amazing audiobook!
I loved this book when I read it, and Daniel Carver does an amazing job of bringing these characters to life. This is a story of discovery and transition for Giovanni, as several aspects of his life with his master are changing.
After a horrible circumstance makes New York dangerous for Valentin and Gio, Valentin decides to get Gio out of harm’s way. A trip to Italy and master’s villa will be safe for Gio, and he can meet master’s beloved younger brother Silvio. Giovanni quickly discovers that Master’s plan is way more involved, and he doesn’t know the full story, and these elements make this Schiavo quite off kilter.
This story is from Gio’s perspective, and his mind is a fascinating place to be. We see the full scope of his dedication to Valentin, but also how his past trauma has greatly affected his ability to open up to others. We also hear first hand his struggles with his demons, and how hard it gets for him to just live through the day at times.
Gio’s story is very emotional, but also sweet and full of love. I really can’t recommend this series, and the audio, enough
