This was my first book by this author and i was not disappointed. i really enjoyed this story and i’ll have to go back to read the 1st book in the series. there are 4 books in the series but can be read as a standalone and I had no issues with reading jagger first. The narrators were fantastic and perfect for these characters. this is a dark romance that has great spice and a suspenseful story. check your TW as there are a few touchy subjects but overall this was such a fun listen, i can’t wait to read more by this author.

I was beyond excited to get my hands on this story not only to read, but to also hear on audio! The suspense, romance, tension, action, and witty banter was top tier! Jagger is definitely in the lead as my favorite delta force Daddy. This man embodies how a man should treat his woman. He is just as obsessive and possessive as he is protective and gentle when need be. Best part is his charming, smooth talking, and d*rty talking mouth that can make a woman weak in the knees with just a word or phrase. Then there’s Blake, the beautiful, intelligent, and fierce doctor. She is the kinda woman who doesn’t back down easy and will face danger head on! When Jagger and Blake give in to each other it is down right explosive and electric. Chefs kiss from start to finish! Narration by Alexis Paige and Walker Williams was absolutely sensational! Walker’s voice is equal parts deep, smooth, and gravelly. I was entranced by his voice the entire time and was in literal heaven! Alexis’s voice was a perfect combination of honey sweetness, sass, and a twinge of grit. These two together are THE DUO of the year in my opinion!

Jagger was so FLIPPING good!! I loved both of these characters, the evolution of the story, and the fabulous narrations.

When Blake finds herself in a really bad position, Jagger steps up to the plate to be her protector. And while he does, these two fall so deeply in love. This book was filled with so much action that had me biting my nails in suspense! There are also so many great side characters - all of the fellow “Daddies” of the group, Zarah, and so many more.

Alexis Paige and Walker Williams were phenomenal narrators in this one! Their voices really kept me hooked from the very beginning.

Ahhhhh such a great listen!! Top tier narration!

Heed the trigger warnings. Especially for the first part! This is the first book of JL Quick that I have read and I immediately downloaded the first book in the series to get caught up. The series is stand alone so you don't necessarily need to read in order. Jagger focuses on, shockingly, Jagger and Blake. Blake is a doctor that is working for an organization that places healthcare workers in other countries where her hippocratic oath is tested and choices have very real consequences. Jagger serves for a private firm where he was sent on a mission that crossed paths with Blake. Both Blake and Jagger have choices that led them down the path to meeting and falling for each other. The chemistry was spot on and the relationship building felt quick but not rushed. My only complaint would be that things felt incomplete with Myra and Zara but I am hoping that their story continues in the following books. 4-4.5 stars for the story

The narration was amazing. Alexis Page and Walker Williams delivered the story and brought it to life. 5 stars for the narration.

This is book 2 in the Dark Daddies of Delta Force series and it had the perfect blend of suspense, heart and delicious spice!

This is a dark romance with forced proximity, age gap, a protective MMC, strong and independent FMC, daddy kink, suspense and a hero who will stop at nothing to keep the people he loves safe 😮‍💨👏🏽.

The FMC is a doctor with a heart of gold and a backbone to match. She’s brave and fierce all in her own. Watching her risk everything to protect an abused woman and her baby from a dangerous husband made me admire her so much 🖤. She’s compassionate, fearless and refuses to stand by when someone needs saving.

The MMC?? Whew 🥵. Jagger is protective in the most swoon-worthy way, but what really stole my heart was how down bad he was for the FMC. Beneath his commanding presence is a man who notices the little things, takes care of her without hesitation and makes it clear she’s never facing anything alone. I absolutely melted. The suspense kept the pages turning for suuuure.

Alexis Paige and Walker Williams were chef’s kiss in this audiobook!!!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

If you love protective MMCs who are just as nurturing as they are dominant, fierce heroines who refuse to back down, suspenseful romance, age gap and chemistry that practically sizzles off the page… this one absolutely delivers. 🖤🔥
