Anne knew that she and her friends were polar opposites. While she herself was short and petite, shy, and an introvert, her friends, Natasha and Tatiana, were dominant and wild. Natasha looked like she was hiding something that could perhaps change how the world perceived her, but still, there was something bold about her that made you want to obey to her. She had a dominant personality. Tatiana, on the other hand, was completely different. She was wild, always wanting to experience new things. While Natasha could talk hours and hours about paints and sketching, Tatiana focused exclusively on reading book after book. They were different in appearances, too.

Anne with her straight blonde hair and her blue eyes couldn’t help but think her best friends were more attractive than she was. But the idea didn’t bother her very much, for she knew to admire beauty in others. And what made her different from most was the dreams - and urges - she had whenever she would see her friends. She had read about it in books, and she knew she could only dream about doing those things, but never in real life. But little did she know, things were soon to change for the better.

It all started on a summer’s evening, as Natasha was wearing a flimsy piece of clothing, painting on her canvas. It was in their back garden, and no one knew to go there. It was the girl’s place of solace.
