Clifton's only reprieve from his crappy day job is hanging out at a gay club with his best friend and ogling his lust object, Eric Hamilton. Dean Hamilton works at a high-end restaurant in New York. He tries to ignore the fact that he's a werewolf the best that he can. It's easy to do when he lives in a big city and can't make it out to the forest for the full moon. But when he travels back to his hometown and imprints on Clifton, it's never more apparent to him that his true nature trumps all else.

Fated Mates: Dean and Clifton is a standalone gay paranormal romance novella. It has spicy bits too hot for this blurb and a sweet HEA ending.

This is a cute fated mates story. I enjoyed listening to it. The narrator is new to me and ok. He just reads too quickly. I had to slow the speed down to actually get into the story.

All in all a decent listen. I will definitely be okay to read or listen to another book by this author and narrator.

I typically don’t go for short stories since they tend to cram a lot into a little, but I received this for free for my honest review.

First, the story: yes it was a little rushed, but that’s kind of how it is with fated mate stories. There was a surprising amount of humor in it that made me laugh out loud more than once, and the story didn’t try to be too ambitious. Overall, not perfect but I wish there was more to listen to!

The Performance: I’ve never heard this narrator before and I will say I see SO much potential. I am VERY familiar with different narrators and the narration process, and it seems he just needs to get a bit more refined in his approach. It sounded like the recordings took place at at least two different times and each character had a different voice each time so that was distracting and confusing at first, but it was fairly consistent. Speed was definitely a thing. There were times when the flow was good, even when a little faster paced, but especially at the beginning it was hard to follow because he was talking so fast.

That said, he had great inflections, comedic timing, and had many different voices! I look forward to hearing more from him!

Great book, kept my attention all the way to the end, amazing audio delivery, loved it. Will be reading again, every chapter was received amazingly do recommend you give it a read.
