Publisher's summary

Passion so hot that sand melts to glass and meteors fly across the sky.

Jace Fialko decided long ago he'd never mate again. He knows firsthand how the magical foreplay - the duel for sexual equality - can turn deadly. He tempts fate when a stubborn, sinfully tempting Earth witch gets into trouble and can't resist being her hero. She's prickly as a badger and has secrets deeper than the crevices she carves into the sand.

Terra needs to hide her talent. Alone in the desert for years, she knows better than to fall for an arrogant, sexy, flame-throwing alpha male. Her potent dark power could destroy them both, yet every moment she spends with him makes her desperate to join with him.

When an evil clan tries to take her mine full of turquoise, she must learn to fight back or lose everything, including Jace.

Dark Tremor is a stand-alone novel and contains mature themes, steamy, sexual scenes, and graphic language.

Jace and Terra

The second book in the series takes you to Vegas and the deserts surrounding it as the youngest Fialko brother stumbles upon his mate. After a devastating loss during his first attempt to mate on the Solstice, Jace has no desire for a mate. Terra has spent her whole life hiding out in the desert fearful of her powerful Earth powers. But when Jace discovers that Terra knows the location of unique dark turquoise that could change the balance of power of the witch clans, he is forced to team up with her to prevent the corrupt local clan from seizing power. Calling on his brothers for help leads to an unexpected turn in events that puts everyone in danger. The mating call of the Solstice heats things up between Jace and Terra leading to them literally shaking the world when the mate. These were two great characters that have to overcome losses early in their lives if they are to reach their full potential and be able to come together to stop the bad guys and accept the love that is developing between them. Fast-paced and full of action this story will have you on the edge of your seat.
There is a lot of emotion in this story and the narrator really does a great job putting it into the voices she uses. And when you think of Vegas mobsters, you have an idea in your head of what they will sound like and the narrator really nailed that accent to bring them to life.

Dark Tremor

This book is left me speechless, Jace and Terra story is like a runaway coming home. They're a deep connection and protective nature in Jace for Terra that's undeniable. As for Terra she really has been the one to go through the most changes. I have to say the devil himself (Terra's dad) got his just dessert as well as Nicole. Above all my heart goes out to Josh, he was a man of his word and loved Nicole deeply. I can't wait to listen and read along for his story. As for the narrator she was excellent.

Earth and fire

Well if book one didn’t have you hooked you’ll be hooked by the end of book 2 now for book 3. Terra and Jace are easy to love characters and Mike well he was just one warped man. Falcon has a lot to answer for but he’ll get there.
And of course Simone did an amazing job.

She has done it again!

I offered to review this audiobook because I am such an an avid reader but also almost exclusively audio due to my schedule. Because of this, I can be critical of narrators. Especially when books have a single narrator required to speak with different voices for multiple characters. Most cannot do it without having some errors where they use the wrong 'voice' for the wrong character. I am a true believer in the fact that a bad narrator can destroy a great book and have turned away several books with good ratings because of just that. The narrator in this book did a great job, so I was able to listen to the book without issue.

Next is the story. I am not one to give a lot of specific story details since I feel you should read the story for that, and in this case, you won't be disappointed. This is book 2 in a great paranormal romance series, which has great characters and an interesting storyline that make you want to keep listening until the story is over. There is intrigue, suspense, and romance. What more can you ask for in a new series. Books 1 and 2 were great, so I am off to read book 3!

I received a free review copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Outstandingly Good Story!!!!!!

The story is fantastic and beautifully written. It draws you in to a world filled with drama, mystery, and sexy romance. Simone Gayuma has a very clear voice and tone. I loved when a narrator changes her voice just enough to be able to distinguish between the characters. The accents were done extremely well. The characters have personalities that are felt throughout the story. This is most definitely worth reading and listening to.

Magic!

Magic everywhere! Terra and Jace had a long road ahead of them and each came with their own baggage but it was fun listening to their story and how their relationship developed. The narrator did a great job of bringing the characters to life.

Hmmm. Not sure if its my cup of tea

I actually got this entire series for free but it was not in exchange for a review. However, I have decided to give the first two books my unbiased review.

First of all, they are well written and the narration is pretty good. I am sure the story is good but I had a hard time finishing books 1 and 2 because they are so stereotypical when it comes to "strong" women being too strong and independent to listen. I love it when the heroine is strong and independent but when they are constantly being written as always the damsel in distress it gets a little tiresome. The thing that saves both these books for me is that the writing is good and the narration was pretty decent.

Again, this is only my opinion. I am not really into what I consider to be a trope. But at one time I loved books like this. As my taste has changed these kinds of books whereas all areas of their lives the women are smart and strong but when it comes to common sense they start being stupid, I just can't take it. I will finish the series and hope that the main female character changes since in the 1st book as well as this one, they were very similar.

Can't be avoided forever

Dark Tremor Mated By Magic, Book 2 by Stella Marie Alden is a very exciting paranormal book. In Dark Tremor, we get to know Jace Fialko and the unknown Terra. It turns out they are true mates. Both of them insist it's the last thing they want and go about things in ways that end up being hurtful.
In the end, there's no way to avoid what the fates and they themselves deep down really want while another dark force threatens yet another Fialko mate!
Overall, an edge of your seat suspenseful romance with plenty of steam, great characters, intriguing and enthralling plot and magical elements throughout.
