Kristen and Tessa, best friends since childhood, embark on the trip of a lifetime. Together, they travel to Scotland to enjoy the wonders of the highlands along the River Ness. I have read the Jewel of the Highlands series many times but to now be able to hear it spoken is just bringing the story to another level. The narrator has done an amazing job not matter if he is Kristen or Cain or Tessa or Liam or any of the characters. He brings such depth to each voice and so much emotion and sometimes I forget that a male is doing a female voice - very talented. But the story is the draw here. This is such a wonderful storyline and so creative. I love that you go back in time to beautiful Scotland and are met with such interesting men. The women though in this story are such wonderful, good, strong females and I love that they stick to their guns and even though they might fall for one of these mystical men, they don't lose themselves. I hope the narrator will do all 5 books in this series! Rebecca Ratliff, you are such a creative writer and wonderful storyteller - thank you for putting this on audible!

Cain, an Audiobook by Rebecca Ratliff is the time-bending story of Cain and Kristen. Kristen and her friend come across a woman with a stone…a stone that strangely splits into two! One for each. When they discover the truth of the stones, their adventures begin! The past is dangerous, fraught with wolves, vampires, and dangerous people!! Cain sees her and knows who she is….for him.

Kristen is strong, but unprepared for what the past is like. Cain knows she is his, but he seems to be a bit reluctant to embrace his feelings. Wonderful story!!!

This Audiobook was narrated by Kevel Shah…LOVED his accent. He does a fabulous job of performing the entire story! He seems to embrace the story and deliver the book using excellent voices and makes it easy to discern each individual.

This is such a great book! I love how well the time travel is worked into it without sounding ridiculous. can't wait for the next one!! Anyone looking for a great listen, this would be it, there is love, humor, drama and more all in one!
