Anvil is a rough, muscled bouncer working in a roadhouse. Sarah is a type-A, risk averse actuarial major with her whole life mapped out.

*Anyway - totally safe romance - HEA, no cheating, hero who wouldn't dream of looking at another woman after he sees Sarah. Trust Auntie Brill. It's a crazy story, but it's so much fun.

One might not think so about a Bouncer and an Actuary. The Hero even comments about how unsexy that sounds, and the author even confesses how unlikely this is, but trust me, the Steam Is Real! Bounced is one smexy standalone, even though it is listed as part of a series, but that is more in theme.

Its short, its hot, its insta-love, insta-lust at its finest. It all just works. No violence or cheating drama. HEA plus epilogue.
Brill Harper wrote a sexy short with substance that makes me want more.

This story is performed in alternating POV of the two main characters, Anvil and Sarah. Kale Williams and Lisa Zimmerman make a good team.

I didn’t notice any issues with the audio production. I listened at 1.00x speed.
I listened to this through Audible Escape.

Alright, I'm seeing a pattern here with this author. Insta-love/lust, virgin, beyond alpha male to the point of scary controlling and "me Tarzan, you Jane".
Don't expect character development, story or any meat. Man meets girl, man does whatever he can to get in her pants including marriage, knocks her up and HEA.
If that's what you're looking for in a bite size package, here ya go.

I loved reading Bounced when I was first introduced to Brill Harper. Listening to the audiobook version made it oh, so much more wickedly delicious. Kale Williams and Lisa Zimmerman brought these characters to life and the chemistry just zings with all that erotic goodness.

so as I'm having a rough night getting to sleep I scroll through the list of books and stumble across this one. Not thinking it's going to be much of a story, I begin listening hoping it's something that will put me to sleep. Well quite the opposite! Anvil & Sarah are not at all doing what we would expect. It was a great story that had me wide awake & in need of more!

This book made me laugh from beginning to end. It must be a comedy. Really enjoyed the storyline. The narrators did a fabulous job bringing the characters to life. I like that it packs a lot of punch in a short period of time. Sometimes I want quick. I have already downloaded all of the books in this series, so on to the next one!
