"I'm not sure what you have been told about me, but I'm not nearly as bad as they make me out to be." His deliciously deep voice carried a little bit of ego.

I'm sure you are exactly as bad as they make you out to be….

Brad De Luca is used to getting whatever, and whomever, he wants. The premier divorce attorney in town, he is a 40-year-old playboy who's bedded half the city - including his own clients. And when the newest intern at his firm poses a challenge, his seductive prowess goes into overdrive.

Pre-law student Julia Campbell is fresh off a failed engagement and happy with her new independence. Even if she weren't warned away from Brad at every turn, she'd know he was bad news. The last thing she needs is an older man who could destroy her job prospects, not to mention her innocence. But before she knows it, the incorrigible charmer has her under his spell. His deviant tastes plunge her deep into a forbidden world of sexual exploration…but her heart may not survive the fall.

This book contains explicit sex scenes, including a MFM ménage.

I've got to say I think this author is moving up to my Auto Buy list! Another great story. So far this story is very different from her other books, to me anyway. I'm always expecting a "OMG I didn't see that coming" ending but this one was different. I really enjoyed the story and the characters. I did feel like Julia changed a little too much from the beginning to the end of this book. I love where it is headed but would have probably loved it more if she would have needed more convincing. The narration was excellent and I can't wait to start book 2!

Smart, steamy, and makes you think about how all relationships are not created equal... and how that's totally okay. Different strokes for different folks.

Only issue with the narration was at times she sounded like she had a stuffy nose/ head cold? A little distracting to me personally.

What made the experience of listening to Blindfolded Innocence the most enjoyable?

I just finished reading another one of Alessandra Torre's books in which Brad DeLuca's character played a small role as a divorce attorney. Let me clarify, his role may have been small but his presence was massive. I had to keep reminding myself who the main character was. To avoid spoilers, I usually wait until after finishing a book to read reviews and that's when I realized there is a whole series dedicated to DeLuca. Needless to say, I jumped right on him...um, I mean the books. I jumped right on his books. Yeah.

Brad DeLuca is a bit lost in his life currently but he is simultaneously always in control if that makes sense. He loves women, or rather he loves passing the time with sex, and when young newbie intern Julia enters his line of sight, he goes in for the kill. But fresh-faced, pencil skirt Julia has a few surprises. She is a challenge if there ever was one. She doesn't just fall at his feet like most women seem to. But predictably, that just makes him chase her more. After all is said and done, Blindfolded Innocence offers dominant characters, clashing personalities, a forbidden office romance, plenty of erotic satisfaction, a bit of kink, and one hell of a Las Vegas scene. Those who have read this book will know exactly which scene I'm talking about. This was a great book that hit me when I was in the perfect mood for it. I one-clicked the rest of the series and I'm about to gobble them up like Thanksgiving dinner! Check it out!!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Blindfolded Innocence?

My favorite quote:
"The act of sex is healthy, normal, God-given. It's the emotions and entitlement that everyone attaches to it that is harmful."

What does Mackenzie Cartwright bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She brings Julia's character to life.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes
