Publisher's summary
Janelle James’ debut standup album, Black and Mild, where she whips the crowd through standard fare - dating, popular culture and working as a standup comedian. But she does so in her very unique way, calling it like it is and calling out what many dare not. James can be seen on NBC Seeso's Night Train with Wyatt Cenac, @midnight on Comedy Central and Uproarious on Fuse (2016). She was included in the Just For Laughs Montreal's New Faces category for 2016, named one of the The 50 Most Funny People in Brooklyn 2016 and has been featured for her outstanding performance ability in the The New York Times, Portland Tribune and Time Out Magazine.

Story
Traumatized by the bombing of Dresden at the time he had been imprisoned, Pilgrim drifts through all events and history, sometimes deeply implicated, sometimes a witness. He is surrounded by Vonnegut's usual large cast of continuing characters (notably here the hack science fiction writer Kilgore Trout and the alien Tralfamadorians, who oversee his life and remind him constantly that there is no causation, no order, no motive to existence).

Story
Hilarious, fascinating, and a roller coaster of dizzying, historical what-ifs, Napoleon's Hemorrhoids is a potpourri for serious historians and casual history buffs. In one of Phil Mason's many revelations, you'll learn that Communist jets were two minutes away from opening fire on American planes during the Cuban missile crisis, when they had to turn back as they were running out of fuel. You'll discover that before the Battle of Waterloo, Napoleon's painful hemorrhoids prevented him from mounting his horse to survey the battlefield.

Disappointing!
I wanted this to be funny so bad. A coworker referred me to it, and I gave it a fair chance. I listened to it allll the way through, even though I din't find it funny. I like the narrator's personality and I see what she was trying to do here, but it just didn't do it for me to be honest.
