While this book wasn’t as great as some of her others it wasn’t disappointing. I had no trouble with the narrator as others have but I always listen to books at around 1.7 speed.

The female cfo of a global company wants to sell off a division of the company that is hemorrhaging money. Due to a number of circumstances she asks her best friends brother to marry her so he can take over the division. She doesn’t realize he’s a dom or what a bdsm lifestyle will look like. They grow together as he teaches her. Plausible storyline and likable characters.

I've read this story in book form and loved it but did not like the audio. The reading is stilted and, in places, pronounced as if English is a second language.

One of Cartwright's best. I read the book nonstop & liked it so much, I could hardly wait to hear it on audible. Only down side was the performer. I hated her voice, clipped way of speaking and lack of emotion. American women don't talk that way. It was difficult to get as enthralled in the audio version as the book.

I usually enjoy Sierra Cartwright’s writing so I took a chance on this book despite the reviews. It was a mistake. The narration is flat, it lacks emotion and there is little differentiation between the voices. There are also occasional, and jarring, mispronunciations.

I’d suggest reading the book rather than listening.

Unfortunately, I have been barely able to finish this book and probably won't buy the next one due to the narrator. She enunciates every letter and it makes her sound like a robot. There are emotional moments in the book, and there is no emotion in her voice.

Terrible Narrator

This is the first book I've read by this author and I loved Connor and Lara. His style of D/s is awesome as his primary concern is always his sub. Lara's exploration of D/s is delightful to read and how she loves Connor's dominance is a joy to read about.
Due to his emotionally stunted psyche it takes nearly the entire book for him to recognize what is going on inside his heart. But in the end, love conquers all. Great read.

I hope this author will have more offerings on audible.com soon!!!!! I would recommend Sierra Kline for the narration.

The narrator is monotonous. The Storey could be so much better with some inflection in her tone. I never review audiobooks but her storytelling was so disappointing.
