Publisher's summary

What Delaney wants is a baby. A baby of her own. At 30 she longs to break away from the constraints of her life, longs to reach out for her heart's desire. She'd prefer marriage as well, but there's no man in Dundee, Idaho, she's interested in marrying.

Then one winter night, she and her best friend, Rebecca, go to Boise with the intent of finding a man for Delaney. She meets a handsome stranger named Conner, a man who might be able to provide her with the solution she needs - and the baby she wants!

Afterward, she thinks she must have been out of her mind. But it's too late. Because she's pregnant. And because the stranger isn't a stranger anymore. Conner Armstrong is now living on a ranch just outside Dundee.

OUt in Lefy Field

What made the experience of listening to A Baby of Her Own the most enjoyable?

There was some humor, but the farfetched relationship turning into pure happiness it a little out there. If I was reading it, I would have quit and put it down.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

No movie, too silly.

Baby Crazy

I liked this book more than I thought I would considering the publisher's brief summary. Most women can empathize with the desire to have a baby, but the method Delaney (30) chose was a bit crazy.

Somehow deliberating picking up a strange man in a bar and having unprotected sex was slightly insane, especially for an intelligent, educated woman. And Connor (30+) should never have agreed, given the prevalence of STDs.

In spite of the bizarre beginning, the rest of the book had entertaining and engaging moments. particularly for young adults.

Sweet little story

Sweet but predictable. Reminded me of the books I read as a teenager. Enjoying the series so far!

Not enough romance

For most of the book the hero was angry with the heroine for getting pregnant while heroine was a doormat. I liked the premise of the book, and the characters evolved individually. Unfortunately, the romance between the two just got started when the story ended. Not for me so I returned it.

Rushed Ending

Good Plot. Not too naughty. However it could have been so much more. The ending was rushed and you were left with many unanswered questions.

Great Read

A Baby of Her Own (Dundee, Idaho #1) was a great read by Brenda Novak. All Delaney wants at thirty years old is a baby. She wants to be married as well but she isn’t interested in anyone from Dundee. She and her best friend go to Boise to find a man to get her pregnant. She meets Conner, who may be able to get her what she wants. She is now pregnant but Conner isn’t a stranger anymore, he now lives right outside Dundee on a ranch. I really enjoyed Delaney and Conner’s journey through lust, betrayal, anger, and love. I can’t wait to read more by Brenda Novak.

Entertaining and predictable

This book was entertaining and predictable but I'm not complaining. I needed a light listen that would keep me interested and it did just that. I'm hoping book two will be as well since I will be listening to that one too.
