An yet abysmal human condition…
This I could have done without. While entertainingly written, you get a really foul exposure to some of the major flaws the human condition right now and you’re left wondering what in the world the author is trying to get across. It’s also yet another example of how when you don’t have to worry about finances, the rules of law, society and just generally decency don’t really apply… which kinda just leaves the reader feeling like gum on the bottom of a shoe…

Great book; excellent narrators
I wasn’t sure what to expect as this was a free read, but it was an enjoyable and intriguing story, The narrators were excellent as well. I think they are the most pleasant sounding voices I’ve ever heard.

Slow burn until about half way through.
Most of the book is spent on 2 of the main characters, which neither of are very likable. After the child goes missing it does ramp up some, but still not my favorite. Good narration and sounds like a beautiful spot to vacay.

What a page turner!
Loved that it was told from two (flawed but striving to be better) women’s perspectives. The real problem they were trying to solve of the horrible incident that happens was almost the backdrop to their own backstories, which were deep and gripping. Highly recommend!

Story was told by two separate people whose lives intertwined.
I loved the person who read this. It’s the first book I’ve listened too that the two main characters lives intertwined hour by hour. I enjoyed the story. I was taken by surprise on the ending. So it kept me interested the whole time. I recommend listening to it!
