Publisher's summary

With those he cares about safe and sound in the city of Savannah, Derek sets off to help another.

After a successful auction, the young Prince Edgar requested Derek’s help on an issue that concerned the safety of the entire Kingdom of Cydaria. A new, level 250 raid dungeon appeared, and Edgar needed the kingdom’s elite to help clear it before the unstable dungeon overflowed, or even worse, broke. Leaving his shop in the trusting hands of Malorie, and with everyone’s insistence that he go, Derek agreed to the prince’s request and joined him and the others on the raid. However, the dungeon wasn’t what anyone was expecting, and when they went inside, they found that it was a trial dungeon: A dungeon with various trials and obstacles one must overcome to complete it. Not only was a trial dungeon rare and virtually non-existent in raids, but the entire dungeon was also under a time dilation—causing the time inside the dungeon to pass at a different speed than the time outside. Now, with two trials completed and another team working on a third, Derek was able to take time to focus on his own Class Upgrade. But after initiating it, he ran into a new problem—the Great System seemed unable to help and thus requested assistance.

With another possible system in play, will it be a one-time assistance? Or will it stick around? If it does stick around, will it help or cause problems? And most importantly, what happened to Silvi’s cookies? Did they burn, or was Malorie able to save them in time?

Find out in the fifth installment of Derek’s journey in the System Universe. Join him and his companions as they adventure in this unique combination of the LitRPG, Isekai, and Slice of Life genres.

It keeps getting better

I’m only upset because the next book isn’t out. The series starts a bit slow but finds its stride by book 2-3. This one was my favorite so far. The narrators performance is genuinely enjoyable. He has an easy style that I’ve come to enjoy.

Worth the Credit! Worth the cash!

So when's the next book coming out? I do enjoy re-reading (listening to it again?) the series with each new book. I love the depth of the story and characters. Everyone has a nice back story that's either revealed or yet to be fully revealed. When is the Gluttonous Bunny going to eat someone?

The fifth book

Litrpg rating a solid 4.7 star
This was better than the last two. I still feel there’s some improvement that can be applied to the pacing of story but overall the series was well done

I love Silvi

right up front know that I recommend the story. this latest entry into the story overall was good. the narrator did a good job with his performance. in this specific book we get the invasion pretty much in its entirety. the last book it had just kicked off and I suspect that the next book will see it come to a conclusion. outside of a couple of sections mostly invasion kind of takes place in the background as far as I'm concerned. there is an awesome scene with the prince and Silvi. there is a death really early in the book that has nothing to do with the war that I personally hated. it was telegraphed before it happened in a duel. there were a few other deaths throughout the book of arguably minor characters with most of them again taking place away from the war. aside from that I wasn't really a fan of the epilogue. it's clear that the author is setting up some future conflict between our main character and this psychopath from Earth. for me I don't like any on kind of a foreboding sour note when it comes to the stories. the only other item of note is that apparently there's three separate systems not two? and then some guy named Dave. it's entirely possible that I have missed something somewhere but I'm confused. just a heads up in case you decide to start the series over from scratch it kind of have an idea of what to look for. it's the origin system, Universal system, and great system.

Lots of fluff.

walleye overall really like the series, this one seemed more of a filler book than an actual continuation of the story. there was way too much fluff and side quests. our main overpowered character became sort of a side piece himself in this book. I hope the author gets back to what made the series great this is one of my all-time favorite series but this book just wasn't it.
