The Messenger sees the darkness in human hearts. He sees the evils done: the destructive lies, the cruelty, the bullying, the violence. And if the world does not bring justice to those who do evil, the Messenger will. He offers the wicked a game. If they win, they go free. If they lose, they will live their greatest fear. Either way, their sanity will be challenged.

    Love love love

I had read a few of Michael Grant's books, and short stories. I loved this story and the gone series. The best!

Not Available on Audible.com Why not?

There are many reasons why a book might be unavailable.

Sometimes a book goes temporarily out of print - and sometimes no audio version has ever been recorded. Audible wants to give you the most complete selection we can and we'll keep adding series and filling in gaps as quickly as possible.

Mara has learned to punish the wicked as the Messenger's apprentice. Those who act out of selfishness and greed, and others who become violent because of prejudice and hate, pay the ultimate price. But Mara is constantly reminded that Messengers are serving their own kind of punishment - for every person who is offered justice, they wear a tattoo that symbolizes the heart of the crime.

    Fantastic!

Michael Grant amazes me once again. His writing is 👌👌 , and the narrator captures the story perfectly.
